I'm very interested in this. The books, especially the artwork for them, were the shit. I can't wait to see the monstrosities depicted in the books be brought to life with practical effects. At least I hope they're going practical, because fuck CGI.

Here's the first trailer(s):

Guillermo del Toro is the perfect director for a movie like this. His visual style already compliments the creepy art from the books.
he's not directing, only producing and supposedly came up with the story.
The guy directing is the guy who made Trollhunter (the found footage movie, not Del Toro's netflix series/book series.)
That being said, I'm still hyped

I hope some of the less talked about stories are included. Like the one about a woman's mother getting ill and the mother disappearing along with the hotel room while she was getting a prescription for the mother.
Because the hotel workers dumped her body after the mother died and had the room changed.
That one actually happened.

I love the poster art since Harold is probably the most recognizable story from the book. It's my favorite one, too. The one where the lady gets a horse ride home from a dead guy is cool too.

Beyond Belief: Fact Or Fiction said it was real too. I never found any stories that tied back to the scary story though.
