I can't entirely disagree with him since I think parents that bring their children to pride events are fucking shameful and should have their children taken from them, but there is a major difference between taking your child to an R rated movie (the MPA tells you exactly what iffy stuff is in the movie before you even see it) and taking your child to what is billed by the media at large as an all-ages event in a public space.
