I was wondering why the media stopped reporting on the Seattle shooting as soon as it happened.

They'll just cry about how AR-15s aren't adequate enough to stop a bear moments after telling you how much of an evil child killer it is.
They all ready did that. It’s now state law to have a gun safe and or gun lock, now that’s not the bad part, you should have that stuff just to not be completely exceptional. All “Assault” rifles cant be sold to people under 21 and have a week wait time.

You can conceal carry in Seattle, just not city parks if I remember correctly.

That was thrown out by the courts after a challenge.

WA has a history of having fairly good gun laws. Open carry, shall-issue CPL permits statewide with some out-of-state reciprocity, no magazine capacity restrictions or any of the other bullshit that you get in CA or the Northeast. But now that the Seattle metro area has been invaded by outsiders and the Democrats have full control over all branches of the state government, they are going to pull out all the stops to implement CA-style “common sense gun regulation”. WA does have its own version of the 2nd Amendment enshrined in the state constitution, which has stymied some of the gun-grabbers past efforts, but by now it’s clear how much they care about constitutions.

Of course, that McDonald's was like a ticking time bomb. You'd have to wade yourself through a dozen gimmedats just to go inside.

I don't know if they're around anymore since fuck going downtown anymore because it's a den of inequity, but half a block west of said McDonalds would usually be a group of four to five angry Muslims just screaming at anyone walking by while some guy records them.

edit: weird grammar

Double positing because everything in this article is true.

Our city constantly downplays violence and theft to attract big tech. Businesses are leaving now because no one who steals is ever prosecuted anymore. There was a giant letter signed by over a hundred businesses stating they refuse to come to Seattle now.

Fun fact because I finally got out of my shit retail job and am not looking back: living in Seattle and you want free stuff? Just take it. We had a secret memo which probably isn't that secret straight up telling us that everyone, even the store directors and security, are no longer allowed to take a photo or even say "hi" to a thief anymore.

And violence? Can't defend yourself. It was heart breaking to see an old coworker get his nose broken a few months ago and having to help restrain a friend whose the manager from running out there to confront the hoodrat so he didn't lose his job.

Last year a coworker and I was attacked by some bitch who wanted my cigarettes. She was out the very next day, nevermind my coworker having a concussion and when I mentioned to the cop it was hard to not clock the woman in the face, the cop told us that it was for the best because I'd be the one in trouble right then, self-defense and security cameras be damned.

The situation just fucking sucks and we're going to become a Detroit 2.0 any day now but the slime bag politicians these expats from California keep voting for will continue to act like we're in a safe little bubble still.

I don't know anymore if there will be any lessons learned from this. I thought there might be after a schizo assaulted a tourist (in that same public park, by the bye), to get back into prison. I thought there might be when the county elected to move their HQ to the courthouse in Renton over safety concerns at the one in Pioneer Square, if only because they were being embarrassed among fellow government workers. Nothing stops these milquetoast neoliberals in leadership from just quietly riding out the tide, kowtowing to progressives on any issue where doing so requires only empty words and inaction or, at the most, a few dozen thousands thrown into an investigation committee or somesuch.

If people in this city want any real change, for good or ill, they need to either capitulate to the far left they've currently romanticized into thinking is capable of incrementalism, or get over their cultural distaste for electing a moderate Republican and put a centrist, results-oriented, slash-and-burn style reformer in charge. If there are any left in this needlestack of a city willing to stand for office.

I support the surge pricing. It's meant to both entice and properly compensate the drivers for venturing in to a potential dangerous area/situation.

Anybody complaining about this is an udder faggot.

One of the local news stations, abc affiliate KOMO news, put out a very informative, unbiased video on YouTube that I recommend anyone watch. It pretty much covers the homeless problem in Seattle but it also talks about the SPD and how they're being told not to enforce laws. If you live in Seattle or the surrounding area and haven't seen this yet, you won't regret it.

I'm surprised that video is still up. I've archived that as soon as it was up. There are powerful people still up there that want to keep things quiet.

I used to go to Seattle every 2 years and Eat at Ivers by the port. My last time going up there is in 2008. Even back then you can see and feel the place changing. I was told not to go up in 2010 due how things have changed.

Places in Seattle were Ghettofing real quick. Seattle area is also a major narcotic hub. It got crowed in the LA region and they went up the I5 route. That is why you see more blacks in there now. It started in the crack head 80's and took root in the late 90's. Narcotic from there go up and down Canada/Alaska/ West Coast and to the East.

The Result is another 13/90 attack from a bunch of blacks arguing about the fucking stupidest things.
