Self-Defense should be illegal. - Other countries have done it, why not the US?

Personally I believe self-defense should be illegal. I don't believe anybody should have the right to defend themselves no matter what, whether with gun, knife, mace, or fists. Self defense should be illegal, it's used in various crimes as people use it as an excuse to attack other persons. Possession of a knife in a public place is already illegal where I live, and claiming you need a weapon for self-defense or claiming that anything is a weapon (even hair spray) will you get arrested and the item confiscated.

I don't care if your daughter or someone you know has to get raped and have her throat slit at the expense of fear of going to jail for fighting back and committing a crime herself, then so be it. Self-defense is already illegal in most of Europe and the UK, as it should be. If someone breaks into your house, and rapes your daughter and tries to slit her throat, if she fights back (punches him, slashes him with a knife, scissors, etc.) while fighting him, she should go to jail and be charged just like anyone who assaulted a person on the streets.

I still cannot understand why you people need the right to defend yourself with dangerous weapons. But being that I am not from America I would not know much about why your culture is so violent.

Just outlaw it already.
