Oddly, enough I figured that Chris would prefer Fluttershy and relate to her shyness or something like that. Rainbow Dash and Applejack are his opposites in many ways. Rainbow Dash is outgoing with thick skin while AppleJack is very hardworking and invested in her family business.

Anyways, I'm not surprised that Chris latched onto the two more "tomboy" of the ponies with their rough and tough personalities. Although, I'm surprised he didn't get the Rainbowdash vinyl figurine since that came out awhile ago.

That, and I think he would also like someone who is a little more outgoing to be more of a foil for himself. Not because he would want someone to challenge him, but because he figures that they'd do all of the work for him when it comes to doing anything active or work-wise. Why bother to put forth an effort if you can have someone else to do it for you?
So mommy still lets him go to toys r us every once in a while.

okay could someone please explain this shit to me. I remember MLP from when i was like 12, but haven't heard anything about it until recently, and it's just a bunch of guys into it. Is this some sort of ironic thing, or is it serious? Why? I don't understand. Please enlighten me.
I bet this really impressed his high school friends.

If you saw it when you were 12, I can only assume you saw one of the first 3 generations of the show. Friendship is Magic is generation 4 and is the one that bronies associate with. In fact the first 3 gens are pretty much shunned by bronies as being aweful (espectially gen 3).somejerk said:

Nah, just a couple who have neckbeards, fedoras, and cheeto-stained t-shirts that say "20% cooler". Also, not many people gave a crap about this contest. (Or, at least, no one I've seen has given a crap) Leave it to Chris to make a big deal out of it.
