I can tell you why Carcin is full of shit. There's numerous stories of people who got busted for CP where the person didn't go to jail for finding it. One common scenario of how this can happen is the computer repairman scenario. It's not uncommon for someone at a Geek Squad style establishment to find CP on someone's computer while working on it, report the suspect to police, and only the suspect will get arrested. One of the earliest examples of this case was when Gary Glitter decided to bring his computer into a British PC store for repair and a shocked technician notified cops. There are shitloads of similar stories about Geek Squad employees finding CP on computers, and cops deal with this.

Chances are if they're not doing the "Sisk's Intern/PR manager" thing as an excuse to avoid being busted and actually managing it for Sisk, they're probably honest in the sense they're telling Sisk (and maybe showing them) shit they saw online regardless on if it's factual or not. They're also making sure that any new art uploaded is not digital art and you can see this for yourself in Sisk's timeline. The minute any bit of new art uploaded is digital art, some a-log like Mangcho likely already has the probation officer's number. Either they're honest in that Sisk isn't using the web, or they're going through the effort in saying such.

Hell, you’ll be acquitted of crimes if you turn them in. I remember back when I was in middle school there was a news story of two burglars that I think were let off the hook because they turned in CP they found in the house they were robbing and the guy who got robbed was charged with possession of CP. So long as the jury decides your crime is repented by bringing a wood to justice they’ll let you walk away. Child exploitation is rightfully seen as a worse crime than pretty most other crimes out there.
