Series Finale Thread -

The Office's series finale is tomorrow night, and I thought I was ready for it, but after the two good episodes we got last week, I'm not ready for it to end.

What was your favorite or least favorite series finale?

I remember hating the Seinfeld one back in 1998. Now that I'm an adult, I totally understand it, and I think it was a great idea to send them all to jail for a year for being shitty people. Much better than banal shit like Jerry & Elaine getting married or something.

I remember crying at the end of Cheers too, but give me some slack, I was 9, anything ending made me bawl. (:_(

Best series finale ever, never to be topped: Newhart.

I was a big fan of 30 Rock and thought their finale earlier this year was pretty good. It hit a good balance between quirky (like the rest of the show's humor) and touching.

I liked Third Rock From The Sun's finale, I thought it was sad. Granted, Mary's probably in a mental institution because Dick erased all memories of him and that's probably going to cause some problems. It would kind of fit for the series though.

I forgot about that! I remember watching that when some distant relative nobody liked came to visit us that night, and we watched it with them, and I probably wanted to cry, but didn't.

I cried and cried during The Office finale tonight. It wasn't sad, just there was so many emotional moments.

I was fine watching the show, having a good time, and then Michael showed up to be the best man at Dwight's wedding, and I mean I just started shaking and bawling, as if Steve Carell showed up to my own wedding I'll never have, lol

Ah the scrubs series finale. Sure it was self indulgent but for a die-hard 8 year fan like me, it was the perfect ending to an awesome series that, honestly, came closer to bringing out weepy feelz than all the so called "tearjerker" movies I have ever seen.

i always consider the phil hartman death episode of "newsradio" the true finale of that show and is one of the most emotional episodes ever shown on television.

but true finales? i really liked "weeds" and (don't lynch me) "lost"

You know, I don't think I've watched too many shows with legit series finales. Like, most of the shows I like usually get cancelled before their time. I'd probably say The Office finale as it's one of the few shows I've become invested in.

Cheap Seats (a show on ESPN Classic where Jason & Randy Sklar made fun of stupid ass sports specials from the espn vault) was an amazing show, but the Sklars decided to end it in 2006 because the channel was being a jerk, I believe. The last episode was terrible, too many of Jon Glasier's stupid ass characters (Beamy, The Scoresettler).

I sadly can't find the finale right now, but here are all the Cheap Seats shows I could find on YT: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_q ... bd8mVfPGhM
