Seems like like Melissa Lewis and family are no strangers to local tragedy and speaking to the news. Looks like the family previously lived in an apartment complex where one of the apartments were raided by the FBI. Chesterfield Country, Virginia, is like a mini Florida.

I'm hoping one of our locals gun enthusiasts can clarify for me, but I'm pretty sure unless you're in a John Woo film, pistols typically don't have clips that can hold 39 bullets. I would suspect that they guy had to reload repeatedly, but if you got a crazed blue haired devil lady charging your family, then you probably aren't going to be in the mindset of running back and forth to grab extra clips.
Largest box mag off the top of my head is 33+1, but he might have been using a drum since not everyone is as autistic about reliability as I am, and those go up to 50 or 100.

EDIT: I'm gonna throw in the theory this is drug trade related. Woman was clearly on something (meth or PCP) and the dude had a handgun with extended mags ready to go. I know it's legal for civilian ownership, but the only time I've seen large strings of fire in a home defense scenario it turned out to be a territorial dispute.

If he was shooting a handgun, he was likely using a Glock or similar in .40S&W or .45ACP. The Glock 21 and 23 both have 13-round magazines. A lot of people just own 2-3 magazines, so that would make sense.

Or he bought a dipshit fun-box and had a failure to feed.

I keep an AR with a magpul 40 rounder ready to go. There's really no reason to not keep your most effective fighting weapon with it's largest magazine ready for home defense.

Off-topic, but didn't Chris go to high school in Chesterfield County, specifically near the town of Midlothian?

It'd be weird as fuck if the intruder turned out to be in the same graduating class as Chris.

Highly unlikely, but stranger things have happened and it wouldn't be the weirdest thing discovered on the Farms.

I guess we'll have to wait until the intruder gets out of the ICU and the police reveal her identity to the press. As others pointed out, there's a lot in here that's not adding up but we'll probably know more once we know who this woman is and whether or not she was taking meth or PCP. Especially since PCP is actually fairly popular in DC, Northern Virginia, and Eastern Virginia and it's even more potent than meth.

This is Florida-tier strangeness happening in Virginia, one of the most sane and boring Southern states even with things like CWC taken into account.

Something's fucky. Why were they kicked out? What about a lease? Why couldn't they take their furniture? I smell one methhead breaking into a place she used to buy, hook, or crash and finding some other methheads than the methheads she was expecting living there. Greasy shit ensures.
Also explains the lack of quality devil stopping furniture.

So bullets were only a hinderance and melee was the most effective solution. We’re any of the victims named Dante by chance?

“She was in to kill us,” Lewis said. “That was her almighty, to kill us. She attacked us, and I held her down just kept on punching her and punching her as hard as I possibly could.”

One of the children, 12-year-old Jason, finally stopped the attacker shoving a wrench into her neck.
A wrench to the neck? Were they fighting off a methhead or trying to take the Von Braun back from SHODAN?
