Funny how a show written by a Sonic fanboy represents complicated friendships between teenage girls better than Noelle's disturbing fantasy where all women want to f*ck each other.
I think this is part of a much larger trend in today’s youth where friendships are just screwed up in general. Probably due to being raised on the internet.

I’ve seen it in fiction written by others too. Either everybody wants to fuck each other or fuck the protagonist specifically. It’s not a healthy way of looking at relationships.

While I agree with all your points I also do think parts of that show are Disney going "fuck it, we'll just steal from anime directly."
Still a solid series. Enjoy.
yeah, that's why I said Calarts, it's what they do, most of them are former weebs. Not a fan of the artstyle, but they did decent action scenes, unlike Nu-ra that shoehorns Sailor Moon and Utena references, except bad. I'm legit insulted when Nu-ra gets compared to Sailor Moon. SM had action and mature storylines, characters could actually die, even gay shit was done better.

Haruka and Mitchiru set an example for young girls that you can fall in love with other girls and that if you do, you should expect a healthy and romantic relationship just as you would if you fell for a boy.
Catra and Adora are self inserts for a very sad creator and her wife.

Not Netflix I can tell you that much.
I liked Castlevania and I'm currently enjoying Odd Taxi, but off the top of my head those are the only recent things that come to mind.
I thought Castlevania was… okay. Not as good as I hoped but not awful.

The racially diverse Wallachian village was the only time I wondered whether there was an agenda at work. If Carthaginian refugees had made their way to Eastern Europe after the Punic Wars, then so much time would have passed that their descendants would look like everyone else. It would’ve made more sense if they were Arabic Christians fleeing the Ottoman Empire. Then again, there are vampires and demons and shit so who knows what their history looks like. For all we know. Pharaonic Egypt may well have conquered Europe.

One of She-Ra's episode directors is also working on this thing that was just announced:

Why does the horse look somewhat likeThirty/Thirty from the old Bravestarr cartoon?

Because they have to ruin everything good, no matter how obscure.

Given how they gave a hatchet job to Hordak in this version (Hordak should not cry), he doesn't deserve a happy ending.
It is pretty weird for someone who actively took pleasure in hurting people to get a happy ending. Say what you will about similar characters in adjacent shows, but they weren't overtly malicious about it. This feels like wanting to have your cake and eat it too.
