This whole account feels like a major cope. They say shit like "Functioning members of society don't ship JonaDio!" when all the admins are probably 14 year-old genderspecials failing all their classes because they'd rather sperg out on the internet about how much they hate two anime boys kissing than actually hopping on Microsoft Teams. Seen more of these "gross fandom moms who ship the wrong stuff" contribute to society than anybody who spends seventeen hours a day seething at pixels.

And honestly, people who take the time to make an account shitting on a ship are more obsessive about the ship than the shippers themselves. They seek out fanart and the like to "make fun of it" and end up with mountains of the ship they supposedly hate saved to their gallery. I recall vaguely seeing an antishipper hating on a pairing and make an entire aesthetic edit about how much they hated the pairing. So, let me get this straight: You went out, looked for fanart deliberately, sat there and edited this for at least an hour, and you claim you absolutely despise this pairing? I smell bullshit. And it turned out to be, because just weeks later, I saw them rubbing elbows with proshippers. Funny how that works.

Hello, flashbacks to the Bleach fandom and that one Ishihime BNF. Except she did write fics and the majority of them were laughably bland, sappy, or otherwise OOC. And before Kubo broke her poor little heart she called him "sensei" and "her boyfriend".

I don't know too much about MHA, but it seems she ships Bakudeku. Isn't that like, a majorly controversial ship in the MHA fandom because Bakugo bullied the fuck out of Deku and told him to kill himself? So, in this video, she's saying that the positive/neutral portrayal of morally objectionable topics aids in the "normalization" of it. That's swell and all, but aren't you "normalizing" bully/victim ships, and in turn, promoting abusive relationships? You can't even shape it with the "but their relationship is different in my AU" because these kinds of folks dislike that argument.

Also, just throwing this one out there: She's also a fan of Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun, which, in case you don't know, is a series with some very, uh, questionable content, the cast being schoolchildren, and a lot of obvious incest baiting that you'd have to jump through hoops to justify any other way (which they do, by the way).

Fakir's sexuality was never a focal point to begin with and that was not why he was an aid to Muto in the slightest. If she ever brought up Duck's and Rue's relationship in the same vein because I know it's like the only known yuri ship in the fandom, I wouldn't know, but prior to that part, every time she did talk about Duck and Rue, she never hinted at it being an interpretation.

The series teases shipping any of the four main characters in any compilation. Mostly it's nothing major, mostly just some questionable scenes that can be interpreted that way if you want. I don't think it was anything sinister, just throwing a bone to get people give series a change. Princess Tutu is a magical girl show that targets tween and teenage girls. Girls of that age range are in general quite interested in romantic subplots and speculating who likes who, so romantic tension is a great tool get and keep intrest. As the series isn't romantic drama but uses romance as spice trough tension and giving moments that you can read into, there is no reason not to serve wide range of tastes. So Fakir/Muto is definitely there, plenty especially in early season 1, but as it's made for general audiences rather than yaoi/yuri fans and the plot needs a sertain straight relationship to happen... Yeah the series is definitely isn't about pure deliciousness of boy on boy love.

Not even a lot of popular characters being shipped are sailors themselves. It seems to me that the only explanation is there are far too many sailors projecting themselves onto fictional properties.

Wherefore, I think shows should alienate sailors of all stripes by making every show have an entire season take place in an ocean, except the nautical terms are as unrealistic as possible.

I’ve watched Princess Tutu a ridiculous amount of times and I have no problems with gay ships but outside of my teh yaoi hawtness cringephase I can’t really point to a scene that would have intentionally implied Fakir/Mytho (keyword intentional). Maybe the blooper reel from the English dub, if you wanted to stretch. Luckily Tutu has always had a pretty small fan base, although it’s gotten some coverage by small time YouTubers recently, so I’ve never seen any militant shipping come out of it. Personally, even though Ahiru/Fakir is my favorite ship from the show, I still think Ahiru/Rue would have been pretty cute as like an AU or something.

But speaking of militant, MGS has a shocking amount of fans that refuse to accept that any and every male character featured on screen isn’t banging every other male character featured on screen. Don’t get me wrong, every game in the series (especially the ones developed by Kojima himself) is dripping with gay from the infamous box scene to Ocelot kissing Snake to Otacon’s existence to even some of the drama CDs. But there are fans whose understanding of the series is limited to one big bara orgy and they like to dunk on anyone who would suggest otherwise for prudishness/homophobia. The homoeroticism is only a drop in the ocean of memeable content from the series, so I can’t help but roll my eyes when people focus so much on it that it becomes something they feel the need to defend.

also, turning the majority of the Weasly family into assholes. Ron and Ginny ofc got hit the hardest, but I've read some pretty vile stuff about Molly and Arthur as well + Percy. The other boys don't get shat on that hard, especially Fred and George are safe, but anti fics about, say, Bill do exist. I never understood it. I once read a shitty ABO fic out of morbid curiousity (it was insanely popular and I wanted to see if it was one of the rare good ABO fics. Spoiler, it wasn't) where Harry was in a gay harem and also went into heat every 2 seconds and whatever and holy shit did the author hate Ron. I forget the details, but I think this was the one where people legit got away with mutilating Ron out in the open and no one gave a shit because he was a meany to precious baby Harry(. No one in the comments gave a shit as well, they cheered the author on. Ron wasn't even going between Harry and his gay harem, it was entirely unnecessary. And this is just one example. I feel like anyone who has read even a few HP fics has an "evil Ron fic" story, it was and kinda still is so widespread.
