Essential oils. For anything.

Granted, I don’t follow beauty sites, this is mostly from seeing people talk about “natural” flea, tick, and heartworm prevention for dogs. Upside is that at least the nuts talking about essential oils for heartworm prevention get shouted down pretty quick, there’s still plenty talking about them for flea and ticks.

Putting scotch tape on your face and eyelids as a guide to do liquid liner. Just keep practicing it freehand until you get better at it.

Using "plumping" lipgloss and expecting it to do anything. That tingle is from hot pepper extract. It just makes your skin irritated and your lips look slightly puffy for 15 minutes.

Pretty much all essential oils are crap except tea tree, which has some decent science behind using it for mild acne and fungal infections.

Speaking of acne - calamine lotion as a spot treatment. All it does it make your skin even more irritated.

Calamine lotion for anything. It was the go-to treatment when I was a child for mosquito bites. It only helped, slightly, when wet. Once it dried it was just another layer of itch. Ice cubes to numb the bite worked as much.

This just sounds like you're just burning the skin off your feet. Love peeling burned off flesh and exposing the raw, sensitive skin underneath. Especially on my feet.
Assuming this does anything at all.

When I first got into skincare, I grabbed a cheap EBay dermaroller, I went for the shortest one. I followed along to a video. I found it painful. I tried to use it a few times, but noticed the needles bent quick.

With most dermarollers (cheap ones for sure anyways), the little needles get bent pretty easily and I’ve heard about sanitary issues with getting them clean, as to avoid getting a staph infection on your face. I believe the cheap ones are intended to be one use. Although the two smaller sizes (.25mm, .5mm) doesn’t get super deep in the epidermis anyways, but good for at home maintenance.

This video was pretty informative. I like David Lim’s channel, he has a DIY video about dermarolling , but linking his about dermarolling video.
I might consider dermarolling again, since apparently you don’t need to do it very frequently at all, compared to jade rollers and other things you roll your face with.

You really should give a try now that you have more information about it. I've been dermarolling at home for almost 3 years and I love it. There is a learning curve but it's seriously not hard, the most important thing is making sure you're buying a legit dermaroller (none of that cheap crap from China) and that you start out slow and with shorter needles before working your way up to the longer ones. Starting out with longer needles is a bad idea until you get the hang of rolling, because a lot of people who start out usually end up dragging the roller rather than actually rolling it. Another common mistake is going over the same area too many times. But after you get the hang of it, it's super fast and easy, and waaaay cheaper than getting it done by a professional.

I do it once every two months or so and it doesn't take long at all. One thing to note though is that a lot of people use dermarolling for acne or to fade scars, but that isn't why I use it, so I don't have experience in that area. I don't have acne or scarring, I do it for preventative anti-aging measures and also so my serums get absorbed better.

Where do you buy your dermaroller?

Where do you buy your dermaroller?

I use the ones from Ginamber.com, she has sales often so if you do purchase from her be sure to look up coupon codes and save a few bucks. There might be other brands out there, but I haven't felt the need to go somewhere else. I personally ended up buying from her after Amazon and ebay purged most of their dermarollers brands a few years ago (Not to mention, you can't trust Amazon reviews these days). I never figured out why, but Amazon banned popular dermaroller brands that were selling good rollers, and now all that is left is mostly Chinese junk that aren't even using needles. I found Ginamber when I couldn't find the brand I was using prior and I've stuck with her ever since.

I've never had a problem with her rollers, they are actually real needles and her prices are cheap. Plus her shipping has always been super fast and she is responsive with customer service. She also has videos about how to dermaroll for noobs too.

Oh! A few pages ago someone was talking about weird yeast infection hacks. I'm surprised no one brought up the ACV one, where you soak a tampon or cotton ball/round in ACV and then shove it on up there. There's also the one where you use a clove of raw garlic. Just go ahead and make a salad in your vagina.
The garlic thing 100% works, though. I've been in situations where I didn't have easy access to yeast infection medication but did have access to raw cloves of garlic (third world countries and such). Knocked it out in less than 24 hours.

When I was little, my grandmother told me NEVER to comb my hair when it’s wet. She was one of those ladies who went to the beauty parlor every week and had bright red hair until the day she passed. Even today when I get out my shower I still hear her saying, “never when it’s wet!”
The thing about hair when it's wet is that it's very fragile, so going in with a comb and being very rough with it is gonna tear it. Best you can do is be gentle while combing it and use conditioner after your shampoo, always on the ends and never near the roots.

So like taffy or caramel? That seems like an even better way of burning the shit out of yourself than waxing.
I mean, presumably you don't just pour the scalding hot liquid sugar down your legs and let it dry. Still though, seems like a fucking waste. Turn the sugar into alcohol, enough of that shit and nobody cares how hairy you are.
