I honestly wonder what keeps them from leaking? I mean you end up with wads of blood covered cloth you have to store somehow until you get home, and then have to wash them, and they'll never be stain free after one use.

You can say the same about cloth diapers. I get that they are supposed to be an environmentally friendly option, but so impractical.

At least menstrual cups can hold your flow and they'll probably remain stain free.

If you're washing them in the machine. Then that means having crusty pads saving up, until it's economical to start the washer. Washing them by hand is going to get tiresome and old fast.
