We all know that the people who supported the embargo had a massive stash of Cuban cigars in their homes, after all. And I want to be able to spend an arm and a leg on a box of authentic Cuban Cohibas.

I've never understood the logic behind the embargo on Cuba.
Cuba: Irrelevant communist backwater which was only made relevant because the USSR wanted to put nukes there at one point
Ban all trade
China: Massive communist country and a major player on the world field
Buy literally everything from them and prop them up with US debt

Travel to Cuba and buy your lot. It's worth it for the beaches alone and besides give 'em a few tourist bucks for food. At least you'll get a good story out of the trip.

Nicaraguans are supposed to be decent. They are also non-communist if that's important.
Seriously though why even have the embargo anymore? Cuba's not exactly a human rights paradise but it's not all bad news.
I’ve been getting into decent cigars recently, my current favorite is the master blend 3 by Oliva which happens to (apparently, I just checked) be Nicaraguan. So that makes sense, I’ll have to check for others.
Also yeah, legalize Cuban cigars, i’d like to try one.

Cuban cigars ARE "legal" in the US.

The Cuban Cohibas a friend smuggled in from Mexico were truly divine, IMO. Then again, he went right for the top shelf cigars there.
