Since the Specter and King Knight and the rest of the DLC is set to come out, let's discuss this game.

This is looking real good. I need to beat Plague Knight's campaign, though, I never got around to finishing it...

Shovel Knight as a whole is pretty awesome, and I was impressed that they made a whole thing for Plague Knight instead of just copy the character over and do nothing else.

I'm looking forward to the next one definitely.

Awesome, just got the original game (+ OST dlc) for Christmas, nice to know once I beat it there will be more than just birdface knight's DLC to expect down the line.

I got this game for my sister and shes enjoying it. Usually she isn't one for challenging games but the atmosphere is keeping her invested as she learns the satisfaction of beating levels. I told her I wouldn't make her do anything I couldn't so I played a bit and its pretty fun learning new tech like fishing your loot bags or phasing for I-frames.

That looks really good.
The backstory missions are an interesting idea.

I was surprised by how much I ended up liking this game.
Most of these nostalgia bait pixel games are just soulless rehashs of their inspirations but Shovel Knight does it's own thing while still feeling like a great NES game.

Looks like the PC versions are finally going to be getting some exclusive content now, even if it was just the same exclusive content from the Xbox One version.

Shovel knight is one the best platformers I've ever played. its gives that classic NES era challege without its being ridiculously hard. the sprite work is top notch and is one of the few indies that get 8-bit style right. also the soundtrack is pretty fucking boss too. I can't wait for king of cards to come out. but I find it weird that they add triple triad as mini game in it.

Shovel Knight is goddamn fantastic. Gameplay is addicting, music is amazing, stories are all pretty good in their own way, ect. It's challenging without feeling like bullshit, and the Souls esque death system encourages the player to get better without punishing them too hard.

It feels less like your usual Indie Retro game and more of an amalgamation of the best in both old school and modern game design.
