Shows you don't want to come back - Let a good thing rest

The easy answer is everything. Everything has to be blackwashed and wokewashed. The Roseanne reboot is what I assume will happen to any 90s era sitcom. Let it die before a cast member does something deemed problematic and now all the episodes are edited if I want to stream them off of Amazon.

Frasier definitely does not need a reboot. The show ended very well and the last three seasons were getting weak to the point where cast members, including Grammer, were making fun of it in interviews. Towards the end it got a little better but I’m not sure how they could make it worth without John Mahoney anyway.

On the live-action side, may they never think about bringing The Greatest American Hero back again. He's the last bit of wholesome capeshit left.
They tried this a couple of years ago. Naturally, it was to star a woke woman of color as the lead role. A pilot may or may not have been shot... it's got an IMDB listing. But thankfully it was never picked up for series.

Babylon 5. Like OP said it's finished and it was borderline perfect, almost all the actors are dead, and I don't trust a single person not even MJS to reboot it.
I would say FLCL but the morons already made a second and third season which was probably the only reboot/continuation I knew I wouldn't watch no matter what the critical and fan consensus would be. It could be heralded as the second coming of christ and I wouldn't watch it out of fear of it damaging my experience with the original.
The consensus on FLCL Progressive/Alternative seems to be mediocre to bad. The original FLCL was lightning in a bottle; it's legendary by now and cannot be replicated.

Drawn Together should be left untouched. The different artstyles for the cast were perfect, the writing would make NPCs self-destruct, and it was not afraid to target anyone or anything. It's a capsule of a time when no one gave a fuck, and to remake it for "CURRENT YEAR" would destroy it.
I miss when entertainment wasn't total dog shit.

Battle Planets/Shadow Raiders
Beasties/Beast Wars
Reboot

Andrala as a sassy, smack talking, white hatin' ,400 pound blAGK woman, Enzo's a screaming fag/dragqueen with Bob being a tranny. Megabyte's really the good guy for fighting against the evil Huwite Devil, known as "The User". The reboot of Reboot would be so shitty. Im not 10 years old any more so I wouldn't sperg too hard but it would bug me knowing that the ever creeping retardation of sexual perverts diddled my childhood shows.

I've briefly talked about Drawn Together in the western animation thread and i can say...Yeah that show could not survive a reboot in today's PC Sjw heavy culture.

The episode terms of endearment was about the removal and censorship of older politically incorrect cartoons.....Now keep in mind that episode aired a decade before cancel culture and sjws where even a thing.

that plus all the other jokes and humor that would make the soyboys and dangerhairs panties get in a twist if you made them today, would ensure the cancel mobs would be on the show like fatties at a krispy kreme after getting a coivd shot.

Reboot. The original series had just the right amount of edge to be compelling. They actually tried rebooting it a few years ago and it was shit:
The only good thing about this is Shirley Millner (Hexadecimal). She's still got it even after all these years.

You can find the final scene of Blake's 7 on YouTube. To modern sensibilities, it's poorly paced, and filled with hammy acting and stilted, stop and start action. At the time it was genuinely shocking to witness characters whose adventures you had followed for years being gunned down by the Federation they had been attempting to overthrow, and not in any particularly heroic fashion either. They just ran out of road.

There's been talk of bringing the show back for decades. I can only imagine the diverse crew of danger hairs, the BBC would foist upon us in [current year]. It would be Batwoman-tier awful.

It's too late for horror anthology shows like twilight zone and creepshow but for the love of god please do not try and reboot tales from the darkside or Freddy's nightmares. The latter especially since not only has Robert englung hung up his glove from playing Freddy ever again. But as of this post due to copyright disputes the show hasn't been released on any official format. The last time I remember it ever being on was on the chiller network (is that even still a thing?) over a decade ago.

Yeah, going to have to agree with a lot of these. Frasier, Buffy, King of the Hill. Although I adore Pamela Adlon (voice of Bobby Hill).

On her show Better Things her character gets called in for a reboot of basically KOTH (the name is different), but realizes they want her to audition first, which leads her to say jokingly “Gee, I hope I get my own part!”. At one point, Mike Judge shows up and says he has to do the reboot because a vasectomy went wrong and he now has 6 more kids by different mothers to take care of. Funny stuff.

edit: typos

I love 90% of the horror/sci-fi/mystery anthologies (I thought Crypt's tone was too silly so I wasnt the biggest fan) and it's saddened me we've never gotten a good release of darkside or freddie. They've done 2 mediocre DVD releases of Darkside but they were just video transfers, probably off Beta-SP, but the show is known to exist on film. Probably too small a fanbase to justify the cost of a transfer. They've attempted an overseas DVD Freddie release but justified only partial releases because of scant interest?

Horror anthologies aren't possible do right after maybe the mid-aughts for a number of reasons. The last decent one I can recommend is the 1995 reboot of the Outer Limits.

For the love of God, if there's ever an Ed, Edd, n' Eddy reboot, don't let Rebecca Sugar play any sort of role in it.

Didn't one of the storyboard artists for EEnE work on SU and was extremely close friends with Sugar? I'd imagine if they brought the show back and wanted to get some of the original crew on it she'd probably be up for it and would bring on Sugar too. I dread to think what they'd do to it (and the fandom that would inevitably arise would be far, far, far more toxic than the original ever was).

I believe you're talking about Raven Molisee there.

Most of the stuff I wouldn't like to see rebooted has been rebooted already tbh.
Some aren't bad and have become their own thing but others be major yikes.

The Invader Zim movie was pretty cool but if it came back for real it would suck big time. The original was a certain time and vibe that could never be recreated.
Johnen's content is pretty different these days and the comics were hit and miss with some awkward jokes and them directly stating that they didn't want to go big and dramatic like some episodes.

I also hope they don't bring back teenage robot considering that the troon brigade is all over it now.
Sam and Max, the fact they had the need to re-record bosco with a worse va just so he's voiced by a black man. And edit bits of dialogue just to remove a college protestor joke in the save the world remaster really doesn't fill me with confidence on their wonderful brand of batshit sociopathic fun being unmolested by the mindrotting brainwork if current year if they ever had a new game/comic/show reboot
Doesn't help that a MASSIVE tumblr shipping community blossomed seemingly overnight. Make one gay joke and now everyone and their dog starts drawing fanart
How the fuck they even managed to watch/play/read it without popping a vein is beyond me. Sam and Max DOES NOT HOLD BACK when it comes to mean humour ...remake not included.

A little late, but Arrested Development should have never come back. Even if it was short, the three seasons were enough.
Unless its in Japan only, Ronin Warriors/Samurai Troopers should stay away. Especially from Netflix.
