He got me one of these:

Now, I'm pretty excited since I haven't had a slow cooker since living with mama konic, and hers was from the 70s, it had two settings: off and on, it was also yellow and orange because 70s.
Anyway, if anyone wants to share slow cooker recipes here I'd appreciate it.
Also I do plan on trying the "cake" function and I'll post the results here.

Beef roast
baby carrots
chunks of potato
minced onions
garlic powder
Worchestershire sauce

Cook until it is a delicious plate of wonderfulness.

I make broth with mine more then anything. Throw in bone from whatever meat you had with dinner, or the carcass from poultry. I usually add onion, carrots, celery, garlic, thyme, sage, and salt. Use whatever compliments the meat.
I let mine go on high for as long as needed, usually 24 hours. Some times I freeze broth in an ice cube tray so I can throw small amounts in dishes like mashed potatoes (also great when you have leftover wine or beer).

I don't have a particular recipe, but I like slow cooker chili! I got rid of my crock pot when I moved, I should really get another one
