Those redesigns are so bad that I got cancer from them. Especially I-No's, holy shit. There's nothing remotely resembling the batshit insanity of Guilty Gear about that redesign at all. Morigan and Felicia are similarly painful, but at least they're acknowledging Darkstalkers.

Kinda like Cammy's outfit, though. Could look great in the hands of a not-shit artist.

Sadly, that Morrigan is not the worst offender for a succubus design that misses the point of succubi I've seen. The fine folks at Ninja Theory win that award.

Actually, there are some mythological interpretations of succubi have them looking like absolutely grotesque slabs of flesh and the beautiful temptress concept came a bit later, so Ninja Theory might have done their homework on that. DmC still a shit tho

I've been coming across more of these SJW/Feminist redesigns and I've noticed something, no woman can ever slow their legs (or at least not too much), breasts must be b-cup or lower, no cleavage, outfits cannot define her chest (like Cassie Cage (Mortal Kombat 10) or boobplate), capes are usually a no-no (unless she is from the Batman or Superman family), no belly shots and nothing flashy or showy (must be casual as possible). In a way, it's like the early 1900's all over again where it used to be "immoral" instead of "sexist".

IIRC, I read on some blog called 7nights or something (it's down now) - a blog about feminism and gaming - where someone defended skimpy outfits and large breasts as not being inherently sexist, and they argued that suppressing femininity instead can be sexist.

I can sort of understand where the SJW artists are coming from, although seeing Taki's giant boobs flap around while doing ninjitsu and similar things came across to me as more absurd rather than offensive. There is obviously a market for this sort of fanservice (e.g. the entire Dead or Alive series), but treat it like a campy Skinemax movie and laugh at the absurdity rather than get all huffy.

A major part of a feminism that SJWs miss is that a woman is not just the passive recipient of sex, but has her own sexuality. Covering up a character like Poison, I-no, Mai, or Juri (although she is not featured), characters who clearly take pride in their sex appeal, strips them of their expression of empowerment.

As for scantily clad or alluring guys in games?

Tumblr fetishizes black and Muslim people. They also adhere to stereotypes heavily. I cannot tell you how many times I see demure/quiet characters portrayed as spunky hijab clad Arabs (because all Muslims are Arab, right?)

Unless something is seriously wrong with you (like terminal alcoholism), your nose does not look like this.

Often, it's even worse than this, with the nose being bulbous or otherwise completely unbelievable anatomically.

It's because most of them come from countries where either Christianity or Atheism is the dominant religious belief. It's bulk standard orientalism, Edward Said covered this all long before Tumblr became a thing.
