I have to disagree. This may not be the best human representation of Tails. But I think it is pretty stupid and obsessive to tell other people how to racially profile a non human character.

The first critical tweet was from someone telling the artist that Tails isn't black. But that's not important or at least it shouldn't be. I'm talking about the tweet that was used as an example, not the kiwi who posted the conversation.

If I'm allowed to addendum myself. I do think it makes sense to be more critical of tumblr-esque humanizations if a non human character is clearly giving off cultural stereotype waves. So for example if Mario was a cat person instead of a human, it's pretty silly for the humanization of Mario to be black.
