This week I just started double-cleansing just to see if it can actually help with my combination skin's oily areas. Though mostly due to accumulating so many products that I'm basically trying to use the older ones up to try out my newer purchases.

I haven't used toner in forever but since this one has an AHA (Azealaic? Idk how to spell) and I have a glycolic acid facial serum that's meant to go after toner, I worry about whether or not to use these two every night or every other night for fear it could dry my skin out more based on frequency. Currently my face isn't nearly as dry since I started using them with double cleansing, I mostly need them to help with my oily T zone and dark spots from acne.
I think 2 acids every night might be over kill. I would just stick to one of the two maybe every other day or so until you run out.

Azelaic acid isn't an AHA, but it does have a mild exfoliating effect compared to glycolic acid. It's mostly used to soothe skin sensitivity and it's helpful for people with rosacea. But ymmv, if you're really concerned I would use one in the morning and one at night.
The combination also seems to be more effective and well-tolerated compared to tretinoin/Retin-A.

This girl basically has the entire contents of the skincare section of my local Superdrug in her house. There’s no way she can use all of that stuff up. Who even needs more than one wacky new age crystal face roller?

anyone know some good Korean / Asian skincare products for type ii skin?
We aren't plebbit r/sca. Please do not larp as a dermatologist. Just say your skin concerns.
Controversy opinion but I am super into drugstore face masks. Here in the UK I use one by Superdrug or Boots around twice a week. They might not do much (unlike my The Ordinary mask) but its just nice and relaxing to put a mud mask on after cleansing whilst lying in a bath listening to music.
You may look into the Innifree Jeju volcanic pore clay masks. They give a lot bang for your bucks.

Depends, I'm fine with using tretinoin and BHA every night. But AHA just seems more acidic, and I can't use that even two night in a row. Talking about the Cosrx AHA, which isn't that strong.

Tretinoin have not done anything for my acne, and there are many it hasn't helped with acne either. So tretinoin for acne. In theory yes, but in practice. Sceptical.

It's summer where I live now, so I'm bitter. Because I can't apply tretinoin as much, and more often than not. I sleep in before it gets dark outside.
As the gyms have opened here last week. I'm low on sunscreen, haven't had a need to restock for obvious reasons and I consider buying a bunch of UV clothes. Because I do walk to the gym for 20 min, it's 26 degrees celcius and do wear a non-UV tracksuit.

Honestly horrified there's almost no young people here that uses sunglasses.

Since I recently started giving a shit about my skin, it's been a lot better. Using some convenience store facial wash product in the night/morning that I let sit for a while, a mild retinol, sunscreen, and a water/carbamide lotion. Clocked for nearly a decade younger today.

Recently visited a beautician and he advised to go out more in the sun, of course using SPF cream, but he assured that acne is reduced by the sun
It's the sweating that can help a fair bit for some people AFAIK, not the UV radiation itself.

I can attest to this, I was seeing pretty slow progress on my skin even with a derm-prescribed routine, but when I started exercising and getting sweaty as fuck 3x a week my skin started improving more rapidly.

Yeah I'm not a dermatologist, but it makes sense that skin hydrating from the inside can help clear things up. And exercise of course is good for everything about your body.

So I recently managed to commit genocide on my acne problem by switching to Benzoyl Peroxide, and now I wanna see if it's possible to improve the texture. The pores on my cheeks are really large and the texture is like an orange peel (pic related), would really like to smooth it out. I had read that collagen supplements might work, but it also takes a really long time to see results and might be quackery. Any suggestions?

most important thing is just staying out of the sun or using spf30 or higher when outdoors, staying mindful of uva rays and that they can pass through clouds, glass etc to a decent extent (i think even with clouds or glass you still get exposure to around 70 percent of uva which goes to the dermis and damages fibroblast dna).

other than that, red light therapy might be promising although you need to make sure the wavelengths are precisely where you want them. Decent cleanser and serum, moisturizer as well obviously. I've been hesitant to use retin a because some people told me it reduces facial fat pads which can make you appear older than fine lines, but all the studies i see on the matter used high oral doses of tre. , not topical. So.. I'm not certain whether I'll try it or wait until I age more.

I get puffy / bloated skin on my face, what should I do about that?

Also what are some good ways (besides sunblock) to combat skin aging?

Like your whole face? Eat less salt. Or it could be from PMS. Or rosacea. You could try using a jade roller.

Besides diet, keep your face moisturized and exfoliated to help with aging. Tretinoin is the gold standard for anti-aging, but regular chemical peels also work. Peptides might do something. Beyond that is doctor shit.

Dermaneedling help. Dr. Dray is all like "Don't do it, you get an infection. It has to be done by an dermatologist.". Truth is, the chances at infection is small, if you don1t go full retard.

Do jade rollers work? Thought of investing in one a while back but its hard to tell what is fake and not online, and I don't wanna waste money if they don't work!

I know its health 101 but drinking more water definitely helps.

I am absolutely addicted to face masks, I mostly use ones bought in drug stores (as above) but have dabbled in making my own. Cucumber, aloe vera and Greek yogurt is a good mix and easy to make in a blender, has definitely helped me when I've had puffy skin!
