I have an American SNES. Anyone who grew up with the system in the PAL region will know why I bought an American version.

For it I have a Datel Universal Adapter which is shaped like a Japanese/PAL cartridge but has been designed in a way that it will slot in to the American SNES so I can use my PAL and Japanese games on it.

What I was wondering is, does anyone own an Ever Drive for their SNES and does it fit the American console? I was looking at them on Amazon but they only have the ones shaped like the PAL and Japanese cartridges. I'm hoping I don't have to seek out a US version.

You just need to make sure it's got the notches on the back of the cart, like the SNES cart in this picture:

I was meaning the Ever Drives that are sold in the UK, it is shaped like a cartridge but has an SD card slot on it so you can fit all your SNES ROMS on it so you can play them all on the original hardware rather than emulating. The adapter looks like my old Games Master adapter. The Games Master adapter was the first adapter I saw that had the longer cartridge slots so that Star Fox would fit in it. AFAIK Star Fox was the first game to use the longer connector in the cartridge. When I first got my SNES back in 1992 I was confused about why the cartridge slot was way wider than the bit of the cartridge that goes into it.

These days I'm using a Datel Universal Adapter to play my PAL and Japanese games on my US SNES. Found out recently that if I get a pair of long nose pliers I can rip out the tabs that stop the PAL and Japanese games fitting in it. I didn't know that there are no regional lock outs between the two NTSC regions.
