16 years that console has been in the world, 16 whole years since Sega jumped headlong off a cliff and laughed all the way to the bottom. Personally I love the Dreamcast and am celebrating by playing some Shenmue in preparation for Shenmue 3. Anyone else nostalgia baiting today?

I got a refurbished Dreamcast like 2 years ago. Got all of the big-name RPGs for it and some not-so big name ones. Waiting for my copy of Pier Solar HD which just came out for the system.

First saw one in action at local TRU, they had an import machine w Sonic on it on display.
Got mine shortly after US launch since it was the new chosen system for 2d fighting, got MvC1, Sonic, and Gundam Rise From The Ashes.

Nice little system despite its flaws. Like only six buttons and a start for capcom fighters and no option to turn off pause in favor of taunt.

I actually grew up with a Dreamcast. My dad bought one used and a lot of games for cheap when everybody was selling theirs to get a PS2

I got a Dreamcast a few months ago for 18 bucks. Plus 2 controllers and a VMU (and got a Gamecube controller bundled with it too???? Thrift stores are great)
I grew up on Nintendo hardware but the Dreamcast is one nifty machine. It's sad SEGA couldn't (still can't) get its shit together for the Dreamcast to have actually succeeded.
I only have Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure on it right now but I'd like to pick up Shenmue and see what all the fuss is about.

Shen Mue is a cool concept demo. Unfortunately it was a sold as a game worth gambling the future of the company on.

I picked mine up a few years ago for about 20 bucks.

Great system. Solid library of games. Wished the thumb stick on the controller wasn't shit, though.

Dreamcast was awesome. I was managing a BK when it came out. After we closed the dining room we would play NFL 2k2 for hours and let the foreign guys make the food. Who cares if he deep dried the BK Broilers and put the Original Chicken patties through the Broiler. I'm sure it all tasted the same.

My brother got a Dreamcast. The only games I remember us playing were Sonic Adventure and Virtua Fighter 3.

Fuck you youngsters.

I still have my Turbo-Graffix 16 and it's still pure awesome.

Damn kids these days with their newfangled CDs...
I miss my Intellivision.

On topic: I'm on my 3rd Dreamcast. First was taken out by a lightning storm in '03. Second was stolen. I actually use it more for home-brew emulators like SMS and NES.

I'm envious! I always wanted one of those but never got one. Had some great gems that never really got enough popularity.

Man, how time flies too. I got my Dreamcast just as I was entering college. Neat little system with some fantastic games. I remember playing the shit out of Power Stone, King of Fighters '99, and Grandia II.
