That's why he doesn't want to put it online instead because that "deep depression" that would put him in would be in his wallet. I'd also argue that it's born out of Enter's ignorance for how the world actually works. He's shown contempt for higher education, disgust toward the companies that run network television, and obliviousness for the process of how he'd actually get Growing Around pitched, from what he should be focusing on to how he'd even manage to arrange a meeting with the people that would get his show on the air. He seems to live in his own fantasy world already, where Growing Around is this magical gem that no one's ever come up with and that he can just walk into any guy's office, pitch this, and get whatever he wants just right off the bat. I guess that's one of the reasons we're following GA so closely. In the off chance that he ever finishes all the stuff he wants to pitch, he might actually attempt to pitch it to some network, and the resulting blowback when he gets hit by reality square in the face will be hilarious.

He, like this (non -) idea of his..... Have no sense of direction. Same with what will happen to him when what he's doing "on the side" grow old, unpopular, and unfavorable to not just people like ourselves who see through his BS, but likely society as a whole, once forced to look at the big picture (something cartoons/anime in general is not, nor will ever be apart of!).

He's not a good critic, he doesn't know what kids, nor what even adults want out of animation, he doesn't know or even understand just what the hell he is talking about or getting himself into, and most importantly - if his POS (non -) idea ever got made, he definitely would have no control over it (and would be forced to work with people they assembled for him - despite having his own "crew", or else it's the highway for Entard!), unless he keeps his shit relegated to YouTube, where thankfully only a few people will see it so the whole world doesn't have to be exposed to this trash - EVER.

I'm not denying that he's a bad person but I do think having a small modicum of money on a continual basis hardly qualifies as a failure at life. Theres a difference between being a hopeless failure on the streets and someone making enough to provide for themself regardless of that person's merits as a person.

It's actually kind of amazing that a guy with no talent whatsoever for video reviewing can make $200 a video, so he must be doing something right, even if that something is pandering to the lowest common denominator. I don't think Enter has failed at life - just a lot of stuff in it.

Considering that this guy had only less than a 1000 subscribers in 2013 and rapidly built up his subscriber base in just a little over a year, he has been successful in that sense and getting paid that kind of money to do reviews too, though to be fair, even Andrew Dobson gets paid over $100 per month to do his shit drawings. In other ways though, he has fucked up and I enjoy goofing on that.

Look for the topic on @Cgame regarding Enter's views on college, but to boil it down, Enter doesn't value education and college because of his blithering childhood and how he "wasn't a good student" and a bunch of other bullshit.

He's also blissfully unaware of networking and the connections you can make in college, showing that he's put about as much thought into actually pitching GA as Chris has in self-reflection on why he's still girlfriend-free.

The problem here is that Enter’s videos are his main, if not only, source of income. $200-400 a month is definitely not enough to live alone, and considering YouTube’s policy on copyright infringement, Enter may lose his “job” and be left on his own any day. If he had some sort of backup plan, this wouldn’t be an issue. Right now, though, the closest thing to a plan B he has is GA, and we all know how big of a chance that has of succeeding.

John probably knows relying on YouTube is a bad idea, so he came up with GA as a way to make money without getting a regular job or going to college. He got “famous” on YouTube without having to buy any equipment or even learn how to use WMM’s volume sliders, so GA will obviously be a big hit just as easily. Enter doesn’t really understand that being successful in the animation industry is almost impossible without a degree. Not to mention, John wants to write his own plots and cast his own team, which wouldn’t happen even if a network accepted his show.

So, in short, he should either get a job or go to college. Otherwise, he’s fucked.

@UmaCertaPessoa: Cartoon Network and Disney Channel (of course, he won't accept Nick) do a lot of creator-driven material, so he could get a chance to write his own plots.

And he wouldn't even need to have genuine writing experience! The creators of Avatar got their own show with no writing experience and they got to write their own plots as well.

Of course, they still had experience... So he's still fucked.
