At the end of the day the Social Credit system is a good thing, since it encourages social harmony by giving perks to those who practice harmony with society and ostracizes less desirable elements through ostracization (I don't know if there are any hard penalties yet, but I've also heard talk of things like limiting career opportunities).

There is no reason to oppose Social Credit unless you are an antisocial degenerate who can't hack it in civilized society.

The societal harmony you want is very different from that your opponents want, be they troons, shitlibs, conservatards, knee-grows, oven dodgers, camel jockeys, whip-crackin' honkiez, squatting slavs, or ching-chong-ling-longs. It can work in the more collectivistic Far Eastern societies, but will never in the more individualistic Western ones.

I would like to see this kind of thing get implemented but with a kiwifarms-style rating system. It would make cyber bullying real.
Though I would kinda feel bad for the kid who gets picked on at school and has all the kids rate him as dumb and autistic in a system that will follow him around for the rest of his life. Not to mention all the muslim kids who would face a constant barrage of "Islamic content" ratings.

China's social credit takes into account things like criminal records, payment of credit card bills, court judgements, and public transportation. Even without those, you'd see the government giving bonuses to "disadvantaged groups".

Social credit is just a way for the CCP to punish people for doing things they don't like, even if they aren't illegal.

Something he has been extremely successful at, even taking down grand-masters with so called mystical powers in under thirty seconds. This conflicts with the CCP's goal to popularize traditional chinese values, so his social credit score was dunked.

Social credit, in any country, is just a measure to gain more control over the population.

A social credit score is an idea that sounds good in theory, but will work out terribly in practice. Kinda like communism or ever increasing levels of state control in general.
