From what I've seen from Black twitter/blogs/etc. there's this belief that slaves in the Caribbean were treated far better, not as chattel. Why I have no idea. Being sold to a sugar plantation was pretty much a death sentence, it was that brutal.

I'm no expert, but there's some truth to the idea that slave owners up here on the mainland had to at least do the bare minimum to at least keep their slaves alive, especially after importing new slaves was banned, because they were a somewhat finite resource (why some folks use this as an excuse to white knight slave owners is a different issue entirely). The plantation owners down in the Carribean didn't have that to worry about, if they worked all their slaves to death there was a new boat coming in next month and they got the pick of the litter.

It's in it's last days, I can promise you by 2021/2022 things are going to be changing fast, no decade is American culture is the same as the one before it, things always change and change a lot.
For as big as SJWism is now, it's going to be completely irrelevant in the 2020s, we'll look back and be able to laugh at this decade the way people looked back and laughed at how weird the 1970s was, hell, we may even find all this bullshit charming in a campy way after it's all over and done with, again just like people looked back at the 1970s.
There's no possible way this shit can just keep getting more and more extreme without reaching a breaking point where most people go "Okay, fuck off already" like what happened with the hardcore Religious Right when they started burning Harry Potter books or claimed that dinosaurs lived in the Garden of Eden and the universe is only 6000 years old, it got so out there and bizarre that most people backed off.
Your average person in modern America is not going to be an extremist, the more extreme a movement becomes, the more people will start backing away from it.

Most people are definitely sick of the PC movement (especially when perverts like Yaniv get involved with it), but they're sick of the backlash as well. I've seen several Stonetoss comics around here. That guy is an autistic weeb (idolising Japan as an "ethnostate" even though they wouldn't let him in if it were one), incel who whines about male virginity, and Holocaust denier who takes pride in being openly racist; I've considered making a thread on him, and he's certainly not the kind of person the general public would find very sympathetic. I'll be glad to see "woke" culture go, but I'll be equally glad to see the "14/88 to own the libs" culture go, too.
Beliefs are obviously a choice. If you don't accept that, you fall into the strange territory of thinking that being anti-Islam is racism.
