Little interesting thing with the whole 'clothes hanger' look, the model Twiggy REALLY pushed it. She was decried in the 70's as pushing unhealthy weight on girls and women. She's credited with changing the fashion industry and the face of women's modeling in magazines and the like.
However, in recent years she's also come out against how bad it's gotten, telling everyone that her low weight and figure were her genetics and to stop forcing it on women who can't have a figure and weight like that without being unhealthy.

Half the items on this list are literally just “a background character said he was gay, once”.
Although seeing it does give me a new kind of respect for Billy & Mandy and As Told By Ginger for depicting a gay couple and an apparent tranny (respectively) in the mid 2000s, before it was any kind of virtue signal to do so.
Also, I notice Legend of Korra is on that list but ATLA isn’t. So I’m guessing if one western cartoon can remain mercifully LGBTQ-free, it may as well be one of the best. (Unless they say in the reboot that Toph is bisexual or something. I swear to fucking God…)
Although in the case of Steven Universe, it would be easier to list the characters that aren’t LGBTQ, holy shit. Although the reason there are so many Gems on that list is because the creator said in an interview that all the Gems are non-binary. But shouldn’t it include Steven (who is half-Gem) as well? I notice the title character is only listed as “Gender Nonconforming”, as evidenced by his “Gender Presentation”. So basically… he acts like a fruit but not enough to label him as anything specific.
Would it not be more consistent to apply the LGBTQ label to every genderless alien in a kids’ cartoon show? Or every cartoon boy who acts a bit faggy? Asking for science.
