In many violent neighborhoods, not calling the cops has been enforced by the community for years. If gangs operate where you live, you will be brutalized for calling the cops. All white people refusing to call the cops does is make it easier for these communities to be preyed on with no one caring.
Re: The ACLU shirt, I'll let them have this one. It's a return to what the ACLU was actually created for, and the case law can be used whenever any student mouths off about their stupid liberal policies on Twitter or posts a country song lyric and gets suspended for being a racist or whatever.
Edit: Come to think of it, we're probably a couple years away from an ad that says instead: "If you delete Uber, you're a racist."
