Actually, that's from the asexual side of tumblr. Apparently, one can experience romantic attraction without experiencing sexual attraction. This is something I kind of agree with, though I'm not sure where the border is between romantic and sexual attraction.
Pardon my ignorance, but how does being against cultural appropriation result in that?
Did you not see the post where a SJW chews out a guy for learning Korean... and he's fucking Korean? That is the ignorance born of their stand against cultural appropriation. Also, they seem ignorant of the fact cultural exchange actually helps improve relations. As Indigo mentioned, recently the exchange of culture between South Korea and Japan has helped to heal the massive rift between the two countries. According to SJWs, that's harmful cultural appropriation.
That explains how The Mass Debater explained how the anti-cultural appropriation people are in ignorance, and I read those posts as well, but I was more curious about how it can be said that such a stance can make one commodify and stereotype. For stereotyping, my guess would be that if you think all cultures need to be segregated into tidy little compartments, you can end up stereotyping a culture by claiming what belongs to it and what doesn't.

As a white man, I'm curious as to what foreign languages I am allowed to learn. I assume French and German might be okay.

Well, I can't speak for him but that was how I interpreted it. By forcing people to only express their own culture they're pushing people into very constrictive roles that aren't too different from stereotypes, really. Like anime is Japanese so only Japanese people can like it. I'd say that's buying into stereotypes. What about something with a little less cultural surety, like drumming? Which culture does that belong to? Any answer the give will probably be both ignorant and stereotyping.
And what if you're adopted or come from a place without a cultural identity? As an Australian who isn't indigenous I don't have a national cultural identity. So should I go with my parents' heritage? But I'm adopted, so do I go with my biological heritage or my adoptive parents'? It's ridiculous.

Not to mention that the only reason anime exists is because the Japanese saw Disney cartoons and decided that they wanted to do it too. So anime, the thing that all so often gets pointed to as something white people are appropriating...is the product of cultural appropriation.

Yup that’s basically what I meant. As with everyone, SJWs assign cultures their own little stereotypes, and cant comprehend that people are individuals. So all men are evil, all black people must like hip hop etc. On the rare occasion they mention something happening outside of America (because it would highlight their own privilege too much) they seem to believe all of Africa is a tribal society filled with noble savages. They seem to view anyone who isn’t white as a child that needs protecting.
It's probably been said in the last thread, but it seems most SJWs live in the west. There are, of course, others around the world, but a large concentration of them come from North America. This has shown that most think the worst things to ever happen was the slave trade and the treatment of Native Americans. I'm not saying those things weren't horrible, but a lot of other horrible things have happened in the world.
They only concern themselves with horrible things that have happened that are related to North America. I bet half of them don't even know about the atrocities of the Bosnian War. I even remember one SJW completely deny that the Japanese did anything wrong during WWII, and paint the Japanese as innocent victims in the evil war with America. Not only are a lot of SJWs closeted nationalists, they also get to pick and choose what atrocities they want to believe.

Well, many SJW's are middle class Americans. As for atrocities, I'm sure they would like to deny things done by the Japanese in WWII such as the Bataan Death March and the Nanking Massacre. Sure they can retort saying the allies also had done heinous things but really, that's just trying to scapegoat the horrors done by the other side, especially in time of a war that literally led to the deaths of not just soldiers but also civilians, from various European countries to places such as Nanking and Bataan. Sure, people within the white ethnic groups have done bad but so has people of from other ethnic groups, be it Aztec or Japanese.
I've seen it used used as a negative thing to basically say "theres not enough gay pairings in my favorite TV shows"
I think it's ironic that SJWs tend to respond to any critisim with "educate yourself", yet it's clear that they know jackshit about anything (Such as Japan's very real warcrimes in WWII).
The people who claim that Japan did nothing wrong in WWII and were "da innocent victims attacked by da evil imperialist Americans" are just as bad as holocaust deniers.

Seriously though, most SJW's are also weebs (or where weebs at one point) the fact that they'd deny japan did anything wrong isn't much of a surprise.

I'm pretty sure SJW's consider the Western culture as a whole "inherently evil", while anything that is Eastern or follows what they consider Communism or Socialism as a heavenly paradise.
Regarding weebs, would it be surprising if SJW's derided them as cultural appropriators?
From my searching on Tumblr, most weebs are able to slip by SJWs, claiming they are participating in "Cultural appreciation." There are a number of SJWs who claim that as well. Hypocritical as hell.
It makes me laugh my ass off that "Shit Rich College Kids Say" is the name of a SJW blog because it's unintentionally the perfect description of what all SJW blogs amount to.
Also ugggh my dorm just posted an article called "The Difference Between Cultural Exchange and Cultural Appropriation" on its Facebook page. Spoiler: It's cultural appropriation if doing the action is "an exercise in privilege". You know, unlike going to a fancy fucking liberal arts college instead of a community one.
