Been keeping up with this guy's work since about 2010 or so when I used to be involved in the Star Fox fandom, he's a really cool dude and one of my favorite streamers. He's been working on several attempts at Star Fox cartoons since then and maybe before but saying this took five years to make is a bit misleading. At one point it was gonna have a heavier musical focus, judging by an animatic from 2013 it could've been pretty interesting.

I like the direction he's going in now better than the previous iterations, looking forward to the second episode.

I like the guy and his work. The animation is fluid and has a really distinct style to it. The man practically slaves over it and regardless of whether or not he's a furry, he seems like a pretty cool guy and I have to admire his dedication.

Agreeing with everyone here, it's genuinely pretty good. My only complaint is that the sound feels really muffled or low... Like, every character sounds like they're talking through a radio, even face-to-face with each other. It's a minor nitpick since you can hear everybody clearly, just kinda off.

I got the impression that the sound is like that to hearken back to 80s style cartoons where the sound was kinda washed out because tv speakers weren't exactly the best. Certainly gave me that nostalgic pang, at least.

That's exactly why it sounds the way it does. It's intentional.

I've been watching the live streams for this for quite a bit (Since they came on YouTube atleast) and this show looks incredible! Some really great Starfox fan content indeed, maybe even the best.

I just wish episodes were made faster, we've been waiting 6 or so months for the next episode. I've heard that the creator expects the second episode to be made in half the time so we might not be too far from Episode 2.

I've also heard news that Vinny from Vinesauce is going to be a voice actor in this show, which is really exciting (as someone that loves Vinny's streams)

Now to pray that Nintendo doesn't strike this show down with their copyright. (Which probably won't happen, I do know though that Starfox: The Animated Series was renamed to A Fox In Space for this very reason) It'd be sad to see all this work go down the drain.

On one hand, they'd draw quite some ire towards themselves if they axed this now that the first episode has already been released. On the other hand, that didn't stop them with AM2R and that fanmade Pokemon game, either...

Iunno, this whole copyright shenanigans is so nonsensical sometimes, as if they threw darts at a spinning target to decide whether to leave something fanmade alive or not.

i'll be the first to make fun of something based solely on the fact that it's furry shit, but god damn if that voice acting isn't fantastic.

I kinda got a Filmation vibe out of that personally, the voices in shows like He-Man often sounded like that.

It would be sad to see it go, I enjoyed what was done on the first episode and love to see where they take it.
