Hahahahaha somebody said I was "logging IPs" or some bullshit and pointed me to here. If any of you honestly think I give a shit about your IPs and have even bothered to attempt to find them, you're very gullible. I don't even mod the forums anymore and haven't logged into the CP in months. But if it makes you all feel better, you can believe whatever dumb story people are making up and think there's some vast conspiracy going on because hey, if you read it on the internet, it must be true.
Inserting an image screenshot of a post hosted on somethingawful.com's image system when it could have much more easily been quoted is odd thing to do. I'm not sure I can come up with an alternative theory. You quoted a post just now to respond.
Um because you asked me to prove I'm me, and I assumed the easiest way would be to screencap a post and host it on my own image server on the domain. I didn't know that would lead to "HE'S TRACKING OUR IPS GUYS, PUT ON THE TINFOIL HATS, HE'S OUT TO GET US ALL," I thought it would show I owned the domain because I uploaded an image to it.
Oh okay. That makes sense. The image seemed rather arbitrarily inserted within the post for a number of reasons.
That's fine, I had no idea it would trigger nutty conspiracy theories, and people would actually believe them. I don't care about your IPs, I don't care about doxing you, I'm a 41 year old man with three kids and I'm wayyyyyy beyond the point of getting internet revenge on those who have wronged me.
It's happened before, it's not just some random thing people made up. That's why the forum saves images using a proxy server and distributes them off the disk instead of just directly serving the image. Don't want people getting their schools called up by nutters or something.
oh,i had no idea. As I said before, I'm not familiar with this forum or its history, so I was not aware of the insanity here. Knowing this, I can understand why people jumped to that conclusion, but I assure you I honestly do not care enough to do anything like that.

The thing I've found interesting is that most of the people who are the instigators of online witch hunts and quasi-leaders almost always tend to be someone who is connected to the internet 24/7 through social media of some sort, and almost invariably has some sort of mental illness, either diagnosed or undiagnosed, which means either they are on disability, or the only work that they've been able to obtain is online article writing for a niche audience site after blogging every day for 2 years straight because they have nothing else to do.
So in effect, due to their near unlimited free time, the inmates literally run the asylum.

I have no idea what you mean about a Chinese restaurant in Blue Springs, except that maybe it has something to do with my IP address (I live in Lee's Summit, just south of Blue Springs and Independence). And no, I don't care if anybody uses this info to dox me or whatever, I've pretty much been doxed and stalked and had my family harassed for over a decade now, so all of us are used to it.

Embedding an image whose path leads to a geolocation of the ip of the guy who presumably set it up looks a lot like somebody is trying to set up an ip logger and failing so badly we can't even figure out what they thought they were doing. It doesn't matter hugely tho, you can't dox anyone through IP, we were mainly just stunned at how silly the idea of trying to ip log a public thread would be. It's such an bizarrely incompetent attempt that I can't bring myself to believe it was deliberate so I guess I believe you and it must have been some unexplainable series of events that led to there being an embed to a google map of your ip geolocation on the image you hosted.
Also, you joined like two days after a cash bounty was put out my dox, and I know box wine and ambien gets expensive. So there's that.
I like how you attempted to apologize but still tried to maintain that tough, bitter edginess that's so en vogue. You even included an Ambien/ boxed wine reference at the end, even though it was clearly forced. Hats off to you, good sir!

Apologize? Nah, you still posted an image with an embedded link to your ip geolocation. That's still weird as fuck and I'm still utterly baffled why and how that happened, and the only plausible explanation is still that you're as good at setting up an ip logger as you are at running a website. I'm just willing to give you the benefit of the doubt and accept that maybe you had nothing to do with it and a bunch of pedophile trannies just wandered in and did it without your knowledge, since that would actually be pretty consistent with how your website is run.
Yeah, I'm going with the "trannies just came in and did it" theory.
