Anyways the models look fucking weird, reminds me of that old ass Sonic Minecraft mod.
Although it is cool that it's a mashup back (or whatever) and not just a texture pack like the Mario one tho.The only two custom models for the mod, the rest of the Sonic characters are just regular skins.

But in all honesty, the mod was pretty good, everything other than the Sonic and his friend was pretty cool. (items and the NPCs like Chaos and the Motobugs)
Btw on that note, there was a really good Minecraft mod that was released not too long ago named "SoniCraft". it adds a whole new dimension with Sonic stuff and it's pretty cool.

I thought the weirdly short legacy of Sonic Minecraft mods was over with this but I guess it ends with this one, not too sure if it's actually good or better than SoniCraft tho.
Note: yes I know there's alot more Sonic mods out there but I'm talking about the big ones.
There was a mod made before SoniCraft, there was a pretty mediocre Sonic NPC mod
But its Sonic (and friends) models look a lot better than the official ones.

It was cool how they added SA1 NPCs like Gamma, Beta, and Chaos tho. (Mainly cuz it's meant to be a SA mod I think but still)

Also it was neat that everyone had a unique attacking animation but it again it was only NPCs and there wasn't that much to it compared to the first one.
Btw another thing that brought the mod down was how the maker added his edgy ass anime oc for some reason.

Anyways to end this off here are all the Sonic models standing side by side for comparison.
Note: SoniCraft's Sonic and friends are made to be scale to their actual heights which is why they are so small.

god, the third picture. its sonic doing the fortnite dance all over again. look like the show will be about destroying eggmanland like in sonic unleashed. Some concept art for the upcoming Sonic Prime show was found via an artist's portfolio. More at the link
It's just a cute little sandbox game. The autism mostly comes from the fanbase.i may like sonic, but minecraft is a hole other level of autism i cant understand.
If you mix them together then you get a humming radioactive field of autism.i may like sonic, but minecraft is a hole other level of autism i cant understand.

I gotta hard disagree. The Symphony part I found fantastic especially when they did some orchestral versions of songs like It Doesn't Matter and Press Garden Act 2. That's the stuff I was happily surprised by.What an awful waste of time, for the most part.
Crush 40 does Spencer Nilsen's "Sonic Boom" at 1hr40 at least, though you can also hear a studio version on one of the CD releases that's already out there.
Sonic 3 is still uncredited, stuck in rights hell, and largely nonexistent.
You could've at least linked the full video for maximum suffering in both the guy's insufferable youtuberspeak and how shit at the game he is.If you mix them together then you get a humming radioactive field of autism.

The Sonic orchestra has been my favorite part of the anniversary so far. Titanic Monarch sounded so good, it felt like that song was made for orchestra, and it wasn't even in my top ten songs in Mania.I gotta hard disagree. The Symphony part I found fantastic especially when they did some orchestral versions of songs like It Doesn't Matter and Press Garden Act 2. That's the stuff I was happily surprised by.
The Ohtani band part I actually didn't like since I'm not a fan of the Sonic Colors Main Theme (The guitar version, not the orchestral version), and the ending. There's something about them that screams shitty dubbed anime opening airing on Cartoon Network at 7 AM and not in a hahafunny way.
The Crush 40 part was fine too, hearing a basically live version of Knight of the Wind and Live and Learn (with the symphony too) was sick as fuck. I get why they did Sonic Boom since everyone was already there, and I'd rather have it then not have it.
All in all for it being free and also being a celebration of Sonic's 30th I thought it was fine. It got me pretty hard in the feels during the Symphony segments and I'm happy everyone got a chance to see it. I think they should have done two different shows though with Ohtani/Crush 40 being seperate since it's not really a whole Symphony show but I get the logic by the end with the two groups playing together.
Honestly between this, the FFXIV Fanfest Live Show, and the Undertale live show I think we're hopefully getting to a progressive point where more games get symphony/piano/orchestra shows and allow access for everyone across the globe for free.
They're gonna make a ton of merch sales and the like regardless so.
It's interesting because the DX and SA2 steam ports are supposedly notoriously buggy. Sonic CD says it's not on sale but I remember the steam port of that game being 10 dollars last I checked. Maybe they decreased the prices without me noticing? Steam CD is that enhanced port that lets you change the soundtrack and access other shit that wasnt in the original game or the first PC port of CD. Seeing it at the same price as the straight ports is odd to say the least. Is there a reason why none of the classic games are on sale during steam's summer sale?

DX specifically has gotten more and more buggy and broken each release, the original Dreamcast version didn't even have that infamous Emerald Coast slope glitch. It's interesting because the DX and SA2 steam ports are supposedly notoriously buggy. They aren't "on sale" because the whole collection is the one that's on saleIs there a reason why none of the classic games are on sale during steam's summer sale?

I dare not torture any more souls with that full monstrosity, you despicable bastard. You could've at least linked the full video for maximum suffering in both the guy's insufferable youtuberspeak and how shit at the game he is.
From what I remember it's cause CD was done split away from the usual Genesis roundup because Whitehead did the game from the ground up. I think it's some deal involving his production and Sega that if CD is put into a compilation they need to pay Whitehead's company as well so they usually opt out. They aren't "on sale" because the whole collection is the one that's on sale

All the games are considered DLC for it, so they just decided to use the bundle for the sale instead
Sonic CD isn't part of the bundle so that one's pretty weird
It's mainly weird that it's not on sale, but for 5 bucks I wouldn't complain eitherFrom what I remember it's cause CD was done split away from the usual Genesis roundup because Whitehead did the game from the ground up. Though honestly Whitehead's Sonic CD is so fucking good that it's worth the money on his own, the dude legit added Tails into Sonic CD for fun and it has the option to use the JP soundtrack, which that OST alone is fucking incredible
Yeah if anything I'm happy that we know some of the money goes to Whitehead at least. It's mainly weird that it's not on sale, but for 5 bucks I wouldn't complain either
For some reason I got the desire to replay Forces (with mods that fix the physics of course) and this shit is so bad but I like how you can skip parts of the already small stages like it's SA1 again, that game is such a missed opportunity but it's still pretty fun to mess around with glitches and speedrunning
Which is nice that there's still people making mods or stage rehauls for classic Sonic, but it really feels like it WAS gonna be modern/partner until Sega was like "Let's just shove in this little fucker because some guy made a better sonic game than us"Yeah if anything I'm happy that we know some of the money goes to Whitehead at least.
Really if they took out the Classic stages and refined the avatar/Sonic ones you'd prob have a pretty okay game since it's using Generations as the base. Not as fun cringe as SA2 but something you could go back to more than Lost World for the pathways and trying out different wisps for speedruns with better physics.
