Sonichu Sonichu Fanworks: What Are Your Favorites? -

I've seen people discuss fanfiction regarding OPL's universe and I figured it would be a good time to create a thread for it. So, here's my personal Top 5 for Sonichu fanfiction.

5. Fear and Loathing in CWCville- Inspired me to join DA just so I could see the pages that were marked for 18+.
4. Sonichu is Dead- Everything is just so batshit crazy from beginning to end. I can't even begin to describe to describe how crazy it is. Crazy hilarious that is.
3. CWCollateral- Hedgeclipper, man. Just, Hedgeclipper. The spin-offs are hit-or-miss, but the main story is something I look forward to seeing new chapters of quite a bit.
2. Moon Pals- Can't go too wrong with seeing fan favorites get high on the Moon.
1. Asperchu- Deserves to be in a class on it's own.

Sonichu may be one of the most lampooned things we know, but this is the most excellent satire of Sonichu in my opinion. (And that's saying a lot!) Not only is Sonichu and Rosechu's breakup the perfect ending to the saga, but moments like Reginald exposing himself with a bent duck to the Sonichu Babies then having it justified by massive walls of text as one would think only Chris could... it's perfect.

And there are some sides-exploding moments of comedy too. Sandy's death!

Hell, I even get a chuckle out of MLW chucking a pack of pickles at Sonichu. "I HOPE YOU ENJOY THEIR SOUR TASTE!'

Chris definitely must have been lying when he said the remake didn't have the soul. Seeing those pages brings tears to my eyes. They're just so...beautiful! The best part was that it didn't try to be snarky and point out the original's flaws; it was simply dedicated to keeping true to the spirit of the original while making it VASTLY readable. I hope the artist continues making more (without the long hiatuses) or at least remake the covers.

Fear and Loathing was pretty fucking messed up but I did like the colouring (especially during the drug trips).

The FALSE and DISHONEST Sonichu 11 is my favourite, I love how it starts off so innocently and then crushes our souls and breaks our hearts when Sandy gets run over along with the events that follow!

CWCollateral, of course. Now that I can discuss this without spamming up my own thread!
CWCollateral is amazing. Its characterisation is pretty damn good, but where it shines is making the Electric Hedgehog-Pokémon as unlikable as possible, so their horrible, gruesome deaths are cathartic as hell. Also, Hedgeclipper. So good.

Hedgeclipper is easily my favorite chapter. So many good memories...

If the chus weren't already utterly hateful, I did my best to make them worse. From what people have told me, I succeeded in at least that regard.

I wonder if a CWCollateral thread would be good to have on the CWCki, if only to give me an idea of how people outside DA are reacting to it. I'd be willing to answer questions, of course. I don't want to start the thread, though. I'm good at promoting things, just not interested in self-promotion at the moment.
