Hello everybody. Y'all shouldn't know me by now, so allow me to introduce myself. I discovered Christian Weston Chandler and Sonichu fairly recently in the grand scheme of things. I've watched all the videos, I've looked at all the articles, and I've read all the comics. But there is something thats bothered me about the comics, and it's that Chris has no idea how to write a story. Overall, his comics work (kind of) but it is weighed down by too much BS (sonichu and rosechu romance every 2 seconds, the failed abortions, every other useless hedgehog pokemon, etc). So I've taken it upon myself to re-boot the sonichu comics. I've re-named it "The adventures of Chris-Chan and Sonichu" (original title DO NOT STEAL) to better identify the main characters. I've also changed the story around. Most of it will be true to the original, but I'm putting my own spin on it for comedic effect and to tell a better story. I will be doing the same for the characters. Most of the charcters will stay the same, but others will be changed or cut entirely. With all that said, please enjoy the finished cover.

As you can see. I've worked hard to keep the art as close to the original as possible (not that anything I can do is any better) for authenticity. I have the first issue fully drawn so far, all thats left is for me to finish inking and coloring. If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope you have as much fun reading this, as I had making it.

I have a question. What makes this different than any of the other troll works? I'm not saying its bad, but it sure as hell doesn't look like you're bringing anything new to the table.
What separates this from Asperchu, Simonchu, The Real Sonichu, or Rosechu's Story?

It looks like you mostly traced the original cover. That's fine, but like with Dr Meme said, what's new? How is it different than all the countless parodies, spoofs and knockoffs that Sonichu has spawned, like Asperchu and Moon Pals?

I'm glad you asked. As far as I am aware. The original Sonichu comics, Asperchu, and Simonchu are all dead series. I could be wrong, and please correct me if I am, but there hasn't been an update for any in quite some time. We are definitely in a drought of Chris-Chan related media. I want to create a full series, complete with a proper ending. It sucks that Chris never really ended his Sonichu comics. Sure the Asperpedia 4 were put to death and CWCville was saved, but it's confirmed that Chris was going to keep the series going. My goal is to create a series that has a complete ending with no loose ends. Now the thing about Asperchu and comics like it, is that they are series based off of the Sonichu comics, but have their own characters, stories, and universe separate from the original (despite what chris would have you believe). What I want to do is a reboot. I want to take the original series, add some new twists, characters, plots and modernize the story. If I were to make an analogy, The original Sonichu series is like The Marvel 616 universe, and my Sonichu comic is like the Marvel Ultimate universe. Ultimate universe started off very similar to its 616 counterpart, but quickly became its own thing. As far as bringing new things to the table, Chris use's a lot of his real life enemies as villians in his comic. But some I feel were underutilized or not existent at all (Liquid Chris, Michael Snyder). I'd like to write some plots that centralize around these types of characters. Seeing how Comic Chris would react to having his identity stolen is something I haven't seen yet and is something I'd like to elaborate on. All that rolled up with some Chris quotes, new and old, and i think I could really make something y'all would enjoy.
I can't ask you to like my comic, but I can ask that you give it a chance. If you read issue #0 and you don't like it, then I'd stop right then and there. No harm no foul. But if you do like it, I'd like to work with you guys and gals. My goal here is to write the definitive Chris and Sonichu story, and I know I can't do it myself. I want feedback, criticism, and anything inbetween. I'd like to hear who you would like Chris and Sonichu to go up against next. Really give some of the power back to the community. I have a general idea of the I want this story to go, but if you have any suggestions or reccomendations I'd love to hear them.

It looks like you mostly traced the original cover.

I've been actually working on emulating Chris's handrawn style (not that it's actually difficult). I think I have it down. That cover was done freehand. I'll take the compliment and move on with my life. Also the reason I pretty much stole the cover for issue #0 was to pay homage. Thats all.

Edit: Just took a look at Rosechu's story. Really awesome story. Really great art. I see what you mean by bringing something new to the table, and I'm up for the challenge.

RIP The Real Sonichu and Rosechu's Story (:_(

I'm willing to give this a shot, but you'll want to know what your appeal is going to be before you jump in. This is all just my opinion, so take it as it is, but much of why I enjoy Sonichu came from Chris himself. The comic alone has very little appeal, it's neither written, drawn, or laid out well at all, but it was the fact that someone unironically thought that what they were doing was any good that made it fascinating. This was someone who thought their work was on a pro level, and was regularly tricked by people posing as famous Nintendo executives who were interested in the comic. Even the fan comics that were terrible on purpose were enjoyable just because of Chris' reaction to them. I doubt anyone would've really cared about works like the alternate ending to Sonichu 11 if it wasn't made for the express purpose of trolling Chris, and trolling Chris isn't exactly feasible anymore. So simply trying to replicate the original comic's awfulness seems like it'll just feel hollow.

tl;dr: You'll be taking Chris (the most entertaining element of the original comics) out of the equation here, so you'll need something to help this work stand on its own. If you think you can do that, give it a shot! I'd love to see what you come up with. :)

Haha, sorry about that. I didn't mean it like that. I'll go edit that now.

But to follow up on your thought about what the appeal would be. Personally, my favorite aspect about Chris would be how he makes excuses for himself and constantly contradicts himself. Chris could viciously attack someone, walk away unscathed, and still claim he's the victim. And he doesn't do this once or twice, it's all the time with him, and I find it absolutely hilarious. Chris not realizing he's being an idiot, or just blatantly contradicting himself is comedy gold and that is what I'm aiming for. That you for helping me tighten the focus on what exactly I wanted. And at the end of the day, If it sucks, oh well.

also Rosechu's story is hilarious

Alright. I'll be willing to give this thing a shot. I'm already doing a "what happened after Sonichu #10" comic already, but I'm always keen to see what another person is able to bring to the table.

Keep in mind though that since I started my comic back in Feb '14, I think there have been about 4 or 5 other people that have come in, said they were gonna start a comic, and then promptly disappeared. This isn't to be taken as a threat or anything of the sort, nor should that put me on any pedestal since if anything it probably makes me an exceedingly exceptional spastic. But what I mean is this: to do a comic and to do it right involves commitment. As bizarre as it sounds, especially considering the source material, you need to be willing to put some serious time and thought into it, else what happens is that you're just pandering to no one but yourself.

All the same however, I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do. Hoping for the best!
