Seems like Sony is slowly killing its oldest first-party. These were the guys behind Ape Escape, LocoRoco, or Knack. They were also involved in some capacity with franchises like Wild Arms or Parappa the Rapper. Basically any PS exclusive that isn't pretentious cinematic Western garbage traces back down to them in some way.

Nah they did this to their euro studios years ago before they reformed them and then put out Horizon under the Killzone devs.

Kojima's studio is still under Sony and more than likely people are getting move around. People who worked on Wipeout still did stuff for the company years after the series died.

The studio behind Medievil was their Euro branch, and they killed that one too. So it's sadly probably as dead as Sir Daniel himself.

People keep wishing this to be true, but in reality if it was they would have done a whole lot more than just close japan Studio just to open up a different japanese studio.

Their whole favortism for 3rd person adventure games include 3d platformers, so if they wanted to have everything be Uncharted they wouldn't be having Ratchet and God of War Ragnarok coming out.

They're making a TLOU series for streaming... If that shit goes well (and its easy as fuck to manipulate appeal in streaming compared to TV) they might be stupid enough to make TLOU3 to "spite" the haters.
