Those physical edition prices put some of the most rare and legendary games to shame.

Also there's two whole art books to the series that are worth picking up.
Makes it better that one of the brick and mortar stores around me actually sells the game for cheap and. I have a one idea hand rubbing intensifies

I was a HUGE fan of PS2 era survival horror games but even I couldn't get into Siren, it was too obtuse and difficult even for me
I watched a let's play of the first game on the SA let's play archive ages ago and I think the frozen towel puzzle is up there with that one adventure game puzzle where you have to make a fake stache with cat hair as one of my 'favourite' obtuse videogame puzzles.

If an Ape Escape remaster happens they would have to change the control scheme.

Spinning the analog sticks around in a circle for 30 seconds just tended to destroy the innerworkings by grinding them. Mario party's minigames also did the same to the n64's analog stick.

They would have to normalize the control scheme a bit so it's not as gimmick laden as it was because the whole purpose was to show off the dualshock which was a novelty at the time. But now the layout has become standard for all game systems.

It's for the best, really. Wouldn't want to offend BLM with a game about chimpouts.

But rest assured, I'm sure plenty of those workers will do great things now that they're forced to work on quality titles like Goodbye Volcano High.

Goodbye Volcano High is not made by sony and it's studio has taken funds from the Canadian government to make the game. GBVH is also not a PS5 exclusive.

It's looking like the newly formed Astro team is going to be focusing on VR, however covid restrictions are still in place and many still rely on needing to be in the office to do work and they can't. Which is why they delayed any new PSVR announcements because you can't test wearable hardware with the covid restrictions.

Yes, it was sarcasm. The point was that talented workers would be relegated to tasks on games that nobody asked for.

In reality, Sony is still going to have the lion's share of Japanese developers at its back, and they'd have to be downright malicious to lose all of them.

I think it be nice if they did remaster it to add in a legacy control option. For people who want to play it like it was when it came out. That way they people who want a newer control scheme, and the old one will both be happy with out losing anything.

3 was a blast. It also had a mode that let you make movies called Simian Cinema. Spent hours on that one.
The weird thing about this series is that 2 was almost a remake of the original game, I remember all of the level themes being basically the same as the original game, which is why I was kind of meh on 2, it was 3 that was the first sequel to be an all new game.

I actually replayed the original Ape Escape just last year and it still held up pretty good as a fun platformer, but I don't really blame them for quitting while they were ahead with 3.

Sony is dead in Japan so it makes sense they will censor Japanese games and kill off the Japan studio. Good thing all their games are coming to PC.
