There's a difference between objectively horrible traits (like "lazy", for example) and subjective traits like those I mentioned. I think he was more so talking about your former description, meaning only real trait (my quote isn't the exact wording BTW).
Objectively horrible traits? Honestly, laziness isn't that bad a trait to have in a character. For example, Spider-Man/Peter Parker. His laziness (remember the quote "brilliant but lazy"?) helps to set up some conflict between his well known moral code ("with great power comes great responsibility") and some of the less favorable traits of his personality... or at least that's what I hope the comics may have done at some point.
However, I'll agree with you otherwise.

I agree, but we're talking about actual characters here, specifically Family Guy. Not real life people.

You sure about that?

On topic, why do you take mean cartoon characters so seriously?

I don't take them any more personally than people take Enter's reviews. Taking them personally would be more like 03bgood against cartoon bullies.

In other words, "I don't hate mean cartoon characters, only mean cartoon characters", considering what you have told us about your opinions on "bad characters" so far.

There are well-written mean characters, and there are badly-written mean characters.
Same goes for nice characters.
See my point now?

Honestly I don't take any of Enter's reviews personally... just when he crosses moral lines. I don't give a shit about Enter's reviews anymore. I used to be a fan but then I kinda stopped caring until I've heard of some morality issues.
Anyways, I'd like to see an example of a well-written mean character. I can think of plenty, but I want to see what you think.
