Objectively horrible traits? Honestly, laziness isn't that bad a trait to have in a character. For example, Spider-Man/Peter Parker. His laziness (remember the quote "brilliant but lazy"?) helps to set up some conflict between his well known moral code ("with great power comes great responsibility") and some of the less favorable traits of his personality... or at least that's what I hope the comics may have done at some point.There's a difference between objectively horrible traits (like "lazy", for example) and subjective traits like those I mentioned. I think he was more so talking about your former description, meaning only real trait (my quote isn't the exact wording BTW).
However, I'll agree with you otherwise.
