It's time for assembly...FROM HELL!!!

Ever had or came across an idea for a game that you wish had happened or should be a thing? Ever found or thought up an idea for a game that sounded so over the top and ridiculous at one point in your life? Well here's a thread dedicated to just that! This is where you can post ideas and concepts for games that sound like a dream come true or just plain spergy.

Allow me to go first!

Need I say more?

In all seriousness, this is a pretty awesome idea for a Vs. Capcom game. If this game was real and wasn't plagued with disc-locked crap, I'd definitely buy it despite having barely played any fighting games beyond Smash Brothers and Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. Hell, I've been thinking about who would be in this game's roster for crying out loud.

What are your thoughts?

When I worked on a game, the idea we came up with was the protagonist was a robot who crashes on this planet. And he is reactivated by a computer on his ship and told he needs to gather several parts in order to repair his ship. When he leaves he finds out the local alien population has built a town around his ship's crash site, and he sets out on a quest to repair his ship.

The basic gameplay concept was that the protagonist had no attacks on his own. His gimmick was if you got behind an enemy you could absorb an attack from him and use it for the remainder of the level. Sorta like Kirby, except in 3D. It was going to be a 3D platformer in the vein of Spyro the Dragon and we spent a lot of time conceptualizing attacks and hub levels. It was also going to have a cell shaded aesthetic in the vein of XIII

Unfortunately the project fell through and it restarted with a different concept, so I left. If I ever take up programming I might try and make it myself on a free engine like Unity.

What I'd love more than anything is a Fallout made like Fallout1/2.

I think with New Vegas they did the best they could with the shittastic Gamebryo engine, but I just want Fallout to go back to being a turn based RPG.

Wasteland2 might be this I haven't paid attention to it since it's announcement on Kickstarter.

I want a dark gritty FPS Star Wars game more about people than weird planets and lightsaber battles. Preferably with duel protagonists. Like an Imperial conscript who genuinely believes the Empire is heroic and saving the galaxy and a new rebel soldier who essentially becomes a terrorist without even realizing it.

I disagree.

Fallout Tactics did quite a lot to add things like multiple Z axis layouts (like bridges and ruined buildings) but it just showcased how much you could cripple yourself by playing a melee user. Indeed in that game you pretty much had to recruit deathclaws or super mutants to be your melee users since they were much faster than the player. But you couldn't really play it solo for that reason as a melee user like you could in F1 and F2.

With Fallout 1 and 2 since you had limited movement and everyone was on the same axis everyone was on a level playing field. So it didn't matter really. Wasteland 1 though was a Squad based game, and it didn't feature things like distance or movement. Wasteland 2 is a squad based rpg/tactical game and it's combat mechanically is very similar to Xcom Enemy Unknown. Just with the option to do melee if you really want to.

I don't think Fallout should become a squad based shooter, I think it should stay an RPG first and a strategy game second. And if that means becoming an FPS/RPG hybrid so be it.

Fallout evolved, and it had to to survive. And I'm kinda glad it didn't rehash Fallout 2 since it was already perfect by itself.

I had an idea for a game set in an alternate universe WW1. So basically Mass Effect meets All Quite on the Western Front meets GTA: Old Timey Edition.
Imagine, starting with long range sniping, dashing frantically through the bombed out wastes of no mans land trying to avoid enemy fire, and the leaping into the enemy trench for frantic hand to hand shovel combat. And then hearing the people shouting about gas and frantically trying to put on your mask. And then having to navigate the gas filled trench while surrounded by pissed off Germans.
Or exploring early 20th century London and New York, navigating crowded tenements, horse shit covered streets, and all the other wonderful things that the 1910s had to offer. Or just jacking some guys Model T and trying to ramp a trolly. I just think that might be cool.

I like that art-style. It's got that comic book feel to it, which is awesome IMO.

Stinks that it didn't get off the ground. Good luck on it if you ever decide to resume on it. The idea of a Kirby-esque 3D game is interesting.

Wasn't Star Wars 1313 supposed to fulfill that role before it got cancelled after LucasArts was shut down?

I didn't have much hope for 1313 personally. It looked like one of those games Lucas would've spent significantly more budget on marketing than development, and would've been just a meh game that they over hyped.

They had a track record of doing that for a while. Ever since the Force Unleashed it just became a steady amount of meh titles til they kicked the bucket.

I had an idea for a game that was basically an ungay cool version of Assassins Creed. So yeah you're basically just some guy and you go through time, and you have like, that thing the Spy has from Team Fortress that lets you look like one of your killed enemies (I don't know if that's how it works, I don't play it, I just watch videos about it). So yeah you kill people in connection to who you have to get close to, to kill. So say you have to kill Hitler, you'd have to kill his cook or something and become him. Then you snoop around looking for weaknesses in their defense. Eventually, you get to the point where you kill him then depending on who you have taken the personality of lets you pull off bigger and more creative kills. Like a cook could poison someone or a repairman could rig some kind of a deathtrap to make it look like an accident. I don't know, it seems like it'd be a cool game.

So...A time travel version of Hitman?
