I think these people want to just have a cool interesting identity, because they are the most generic basic bitches in the world. They'd like to think they can just imagine one up that perfectly makes them a unique individual worthy of approval, but normal people will just laugh in their face.

Ace refers to Asexual, flux usually means changing when used like this. Basically, this her way of escaping the accusation that she's just a heterosexual woman with unfortunate skin problems.
