So, because Body Integrity Identity Disorder is often brought up here, mainly to show how society draws the line of amputating your limbs, but not for chopping off healthy breasts and genitals, I decided to look more into it, and to see if it really does compare to gender dysphoria.
Interestingly enough, it is noted that most people who have BIID are predominately male, and most of these men are also diagnosed with another paraphilia. Also interesting, is that one of the first psychologists who studied it, and described BIID as being primarily sexually oriented (eg, a fetish), was none other than John Money. Also, most of those who have BIID, only want to amputate their non dominant side (so if you're right handed, you'd want to amputate your left side limbs, and vice versa). It appears that the left leg is the most common limb that people with BIID want to amputate.
Now, we've only heard about people wanting to amputate their limbs, but BIID is not just related to the limbs. Some of those who suffer from it don't want amputation, but instead want to paralyzed, blinded, or deaf, or otherwise permanently disabled, but those aren't as well known as the ones who want amputation.
And here is a comment on a different site of just how those with BIID think:
A lot of articles also try to state the sufferers aren't delusional, and it's a neurological disorder. Some say it's psychological, but also neurological. CBT and antidepressants seem to help somewhat, but so far, there is no cure. And obviously, the medical field is extremely wary of doing actual amputations or otherwise disable these people (such as blinding them or paralyzing them), though in the few cases where doctors did go ahead and do this, it does seem they are extremely happy with it. And like this bloke above, some will even resort to doing self amputations, or injure themselves in a way where the doctor has to perform an amputation.
Anway, didn't mean to derail, just thought this would be interesting to add, and the noted similarities it has with gender dysphoria, basically, an extreme distress of their natural body, and this starts in childhood. The biggest discussion on how to treat this disorder is basically, are they sane and doing this will actually help, or are we just needlessly disabling mentally ill people for life?

It's fascinating how similar this is to AGP gender dysphoria and to true OCD (the anxiety relieved by a physical action part), it's almost like the same root disorder on different ends of a spectrum. I didn't expect male prevalence for BIID.

Honestly these guys would be better candidates for physical medicalization than troons. Troons end up disappointed and still stuck in their obsessive thoughts because doctors can't change someone's sex or even recreate the opposite sex's bodies very well, but becoming an amputee or blind or whatever is totally possible.
(Of course cutting off the offending body part instead of continuing to search for a psychological treatment would still be insane and unethical.)

But post-op TIMs don't have an actual, functional vaginal organ (i.e. the muscular tube and surrounding structures). So is this more AGP fantasy, or can some post-ops actually train their pelvic floor muscles to contract the wound? I'm highly skeptical, considering the nature of the surgery and the tissue grafts pseudovaginas are constructed from.Someone discovered kegels and thinks men are gonna 'swear off cis women' after experiencing their amhole.

Yeah, the simple answer is hell no.
the pelvic floor muscles form around the vagina in females. In males there is a sheet of muscle that has to be cut to perform SRS. It is going to depend entirely on how the muscle heals. Women that have their pelvic floor muscles injured (usually in childbirth) can typically still do kegels, but often times have diminished strength while clenching. Sometimes the pelvic floor muscles can be damaged to the point of causing incontinence (more often urine incontinence rather than fecal or flatulence). This isn't a perfect comparison because childbirth injuries cause torn muscles, whereas the SRS surgery involves cutting into muscles. The difference between a tear and a cut with regard to healing can be large. Usually, cuts heal better. With this surgery it is possible that the cuts heal better (or heal better some of the time), or worse, or it may entirely depend on the surgeon's skill. I do wonder if not cutting enough of a space would cause problems with narrowing of the canal in the long term. I could not find good information on how these muscles typically heal after SRS. I would imagine that the muscles might clench partially or only in one direction in some patients, if the damage to the muscle extends too far beyond the neovaginal canal on one aspect of the incision.
I know who to ask the question to for a definitive answer, there are Pelvic Floor Physical Therapists. They specialize on rehabilitating weakened or damaged pelvic floor muscles. Trans women are no doubt getting referrals for this type of shit. That is the kind of specialist that would know the most. Their exams involve putting gloved fingers inside vaginas and instructing patients to squeeze and/or bear down, in order to examine the tone and functionality of the pelvic floor muscles. I don't know a lot more about them because I'm not one and I haven't seen one myself, but if you find one that works in a city with a lot of troons (SF, PDX, seattle) they would probably be able to answer you for sure.
Unfortunately I believe I have seen the #1 worst amhole. We already know that these "surgeries" often lead to necrosis. I recently saw a video of one of these with a maggot infestation. It was so disgusting that it has now desensitised me to all of the other amholes. I struggle to imagine how it could possibly be any worse.

You aren't a snake, you have no idea what it is to be a snake, and making cosmetic changes to your body will not transform you into a snake.
Something I've noticed is that some troons (Wedge and a few ppl in the tranny sideshow thread) get an orchiectomy (ball removal) while intending to get full vaginoplasty. I thought they used the scrotum as an important part of surgery because it's a lot of skin, so why the hell would someone plan to do the whole thing but start by sabotaging themselves? How the fuck is a surgeon supposed to make a rot pocket with only Wedge's little triangle dick? Are they just impatient to get the chop but not fully ready yet? Am I missing something?
Edit: Looked into it a little more and apparently they leave the empty scrote just dangling there, like a deflated balloon on a telephone pole. It's still bad for vaginoplasty though because the skin shrinks or something once the balls are gone. Still seems weird to me to do it as a separate surgery, though it is a much simpler, less invasive procedure.

The idea is to reduce the amount of antiandrogens necessary by removing the testicles. Those meds are either expensive, or they're off-label spironolactone with its side effects.
I personally think that the troons are also enjoying the psychological effect of being castrated; it feels like they're doing something, a mortification of the flesh to prove devotion to the gender faith.
It would be interesting to see a truly forward-thinking MtF request tissue expanders in the empty scrotum, to grow more tissue for the neovagina later. If they really worked at it they could have plenty of donor flesh by the time they'd crowdfunded their stinkditch.
