I usually go to at least one show at the Comedy Festival in my city (it's a very big well known festival). But I don't really have a favourite stand up comic and think that most of the really famous ones suck.

As someone who really isn't big on comedy, I gotta say: FUCKING MITCH HEDBERG IS AMAZING!!!!
My history teacher in tenth grade showed us one of his specials and we were all laughing our asses off. His joke about waiting lists at restaurants is just about one of the best things I've ever heard.
