I liked this better when Soran said, "Time is a fire in which we burn," and Picard, with graceful acceptance, said, "Time is a companion that walks with us on our journey and teaches us to value every moment because it'll never come again" (or something like that). Even though Picard time-traveled in that movie to get a second chance at saving the Viridian system, which kind of blows a hole right through its theme. But the point is, this was done almost 20 years ago in a mediocre film, and I'm sure that was better than whatever this will be.
