I tuned out of Star Trek when Jar Jar Abrams did the shittiest Wrath of Khan remake possible and permanently lost interest when the third Abrams-Trek movie was an unholy mix of the worst parts of the TNG movies and Star Trek V without the charm with the usual Abrams-Trek trash.

How fucking bad is Star Trek Picard anyway? I've heard nothing good about it, other than the initial announcement meant to garner fan goodwill. I'm sure it will make me glad I ignore this shit like I do modern Star Wars since The Last Jedi was legendarily trash and Rise of Skywalker I just pirated to drunkenly laugh at with my friend when we were seeing how bad it was.

Aside from shit writing, shitty 'cool' moments that were total cringe, and shitty new characters, they went about dismantling every single aspect of human progress made in the Star Trek universe, every piece of goodness and hope that Roddenberry wanted Starfleet to represent. In Picard Starfleet is basically racist sexist space EU and everyone is living in a racist sexist hellscape from which there is no escape, while Picard stumbles around like a senile old man. Oh, and poverty is back, for some reason. Fun!
