I always thought that star trek was a fictional world without 'evil' conservatives in the Federation. I'm guessing space brexit is being shoe-horned in here as an example of xenophobia and intolerance? In my opinion, unbelievably bad. Definitely the worst 'woke' remake so far. Aside from shit writing, shitty 'cool' moments that were total cringe, and shitty new characters, they went about dismantling every single aspect of human progress made in the Star Trek universe, every piece of goodness and hope that Roddenberry wanted Starfleet to represent. In Picard Starfleet is basically racist sexist space EU and everyone is living in a racist sexist hellscape from which there is no escape, while Picard stumbles around like a senile old man. Oh, and poverty is back, for some reason. Fun!
