Really, I actually began to enjoy your SW toy discussions, but you're not going to find many people sympathetic to your excitement for the ST around here. Like what you like, by all means, but inside of the "griefing" thread it makes you look like an indecisive troll.

None actually, I haven't watched the Mando yet. Kinda burnt out on it tho, ngl.

Anyway since I was too autistic for the griefing thread and I figure I'm not the only autist into plastic crap on the farms, ITT Star Wars and other toy collecting autism. Post pics, custom projects, hobby news or drama, whatever.

Other than SW, particularly sequel shit because I'm a failed abortion, I collect Jurassic Park and other prehistoric toys and I'm a 1/6 dollfag. I know there's a lot of crossover with the SW and JP toy communities because Kenner.

I'm trying to edge back into repainting/custom shit and hopefully sewing again. Last year I had an adventure with boiling water and an exacto knife putting rooted hair on the Kylo doll from the Forces of Destiny 2 pack. It came out ok but I'm still not 100% satisfied so I'll probably go back and dunk him in boiling water again to fill in some thin spots/punish him for his crimes.

Ever since disney and the faggots took over SW, they've literally taken shitty non articulated movie props that you cant even bend their arms or legs as their idea of legitimate toys.



How far they fucking regressed star wars with trying to literally go back to the 80s with all that kenner no jointed bullshit.

We really were that close to greatness.

Yeah I might like the ST but I definitely agree the toys have had a huge quality drop compared to previous offerings. The really articulated 3.75 figures are great, and I'm slowly stick a toe in older 1/6 stuff.

The only 1/6 stuff for the ST are those big cheap figures with no articulation, Forces of Destiny (which I actually think are pretty cute but I hate how most dolls have molded on outfits, I've rebodied my Reylo dolls), the Elite serious or whatever it was called that Disney store did for a split second which are actually ok but only had a few characters, and really expensive high end figures like Hot Toys.

The black series stuff is pretty ok, especially if you can get them cheap. I have Rey, Hux, and Kylo and I think I got all at a discount.

Edit: have a couple of the Rogue one storm trooper designs from the nigger series as they were the only good things to come from disneywars.

Anyway most of what I have is JP, the SW stuff is small but growing slowly. I actually really like the 1/6 figures that they did for the PT, good quality especially for playline and they did a surprisingly huge amount of them. You can also usually get them for pretty cheap.

The old 1/6 figures that came out way back when for the OT seem like they can be tricky to get in ok condition so I don't have any, but I do really like the faces on them.

It's amazing - Disney has tons of fuck you money and was projected to make even more fuck you money with the new Star Wars films - and yet the first course of action they took was to cheapen the merch while jacking up the price.

No disagreements here, tho Mattel has been the second coming of Kenner with their JP shit. I first got into and started collecting JP around 1999, so a year or two after Lost World. My first JP toy was TLW cyclops raptor and to this day she's probably one of my absolute favorite toys I own. So many great memories.

I also fucking love Chaos Effect, it's a shame the cartoon never materialized. The original sculpts for the line were neat as hell and if anything I think the more stylized/cartoony look of them makes them pretty unique as far as JP toys go.

Also the bull rex and it's repaints will always be my favorite JP trex figure. Had the CE repaint as a kid and after that I have way too much nostalgia for that sculpt. Plus the fact that it could eat other figures was fun as hell and something I loved as a kid.

I was too young to get into Dino Riders but I know tons of people love it. I really wish Mattel would do more with that license.

Yeah the ST merch was pretty disappointing overall. Even with as disappointing as they were the PT still had some nice ass toys to go with it, I mentioned all the 1/6 figures and of course the nice articulated 3.75 figures. Hell I'm pretty sure the main reason Forces of Destiny never went anywhere is because most of the dolls had molded on outfits and little girls like being able to play dress up with dolls. Meanwhile afaik most, if not all the PT 1/6 figures had fully changeable clothes so kids could play with them alongside Barbies and G.I. Joe's and whatnot and swap clothes and all that fun stuff.

And yeah the old art for JP stuff is awesome. I have a print I bought from one of the artists that did art for the first toy line at a toy show a few years back, still need to hang it up though.

In all seriousness I've been having a bit of a problem with his legs and especially boots being sticky (I assume chemicals leaking out of the plastic). Last night I chucked him in the tub and scrubbed with dish soap because that's helped get rid of stickiness on older toys (like a Chaos Effect ankyloranodan I bought a while back). His legs are less and issue but the boots still are sticky. I went at them again this morning with more dish soap but we'll see. Any other toy autists have any tips?
