Nothing? Nothing at all?I disagree, Solo clearly establishes Lando as an important underworld guy who owns a cool ship which he's insistant on protecting. Yes, it's kind of an exaggeration on his statements on the Millennium Falcon in ESB, but it's understandable since that ship is important to him. And Donald Glover captures Lando's character really well.
That stupid droid is barely a part of Lando's character in the movie, just that he relies on it to help out on the ship. If Disney didn't come out with the idiotic "Lando is pansexual" it would simply be an annoying ass droid (since Solo couldn't decide whether the droid was a comedic element or a serious plot point) which Lando relied on to help his piece of junk ship stay together. There's literally nothing about how Lando is in love with the droid except if you project on the stupid "Lando is pansexual" declaration.
Can you name any other time a character was that upset over a droid getting shot? Artoo or Threepio were shot in every film of the OT and nobody ever reacted.
And then what does he do after all that? Upload L3 into the Falcon (so then the nav computer can do the hyperspace flying) resulting in the climax.
(Damn you for making me relive that movie...)
