Apologies if this violates any board rules that I'm not aware of, but a recent post in the Star Wars Griefing Thread got me thinking that, with all of the shit going down because of Disney, Iger, Kennedy, Filoni and so forth, maybe it would be good to have a dedicated space to commemorate the good times in visual form.
I'll start with a few of my old favorites from years past.
Your basic New Republic crew: Tycho and Winter Celchu, Artoo and Threepio, Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, Lando, Talon Karrde, Shada D'ukal, Mara Jade and Zakarisz Ghent.
(Left-Right, Top-Bottom: Vuffi Raa - from That One Lando Calrissian Trilogy No One's Ever Read; Marn "Gryph" Hierogryph - from the Knights of the Old Republic comics; Vilmarh "Villie" Grahrk - from the Republic comics; Siri Tachi - from the Obi-Wan young readers novels; Valenthyne Farfalla - from the Sith War comics; Tag Greenly and Bink Otauna - from Tag and Bink Are Dead; T'ra Saa - from the Republic comics and Legacy; Odan-Urr - from Tales of the Jedi; Streen - from the Jedi Academy trilogy; Fenn Shysa - from the old Marvel comics, Republic Commando and Matthew Stover's Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor)
Indigenous special operations soldiers from the perpetually rain-drenched, Separatist-leaning planet Jabiim. They gave the Republic's forces, Jedi and Clone alike, no end of trouble for a long time in the Republic comics.
The Vong are a little on the stylized side here, but I love the kineticism of this piece, the NJO setting, and the depiction of Mandalorian "battle sync."
