Hello! The name’s Steph and I’m a 20-something plus size style blogger & body positivity advocate from London with a penchant for graphic novels, cheesecake, Jason Momoa & random Twitter rants.

Fix your gums to call any child of mine a monkey and I will spin your jaw. Ignorance is not an excuse anymore, it’s 2018.

If you follow our Salt Mine subforum at all you may be aware of the controversy around the "Coolest Monkey in the Jungle" hoodie put out by Swedish clothing retailer H & M that led to a group of extremists known as the "Economic Freedom Front" to destroy half a dozen H & M locations, terrorizing the minimum wage African employees of the stores in question. On top of this the little boy who modeled the sweater, Liam Mango, and the boys parents were forced out of their home due to threats from outraged SJW in their home country Sweden.

According to KnowYourMeme, the first user on twitter to speak up in anger about the advert was Yeboah:
On January 7th, 2018, Twitter user @NerdAboutTown tweeted, “Whose idea was it at @hm to have this little sweet black boy wear a jumper that says ‘coolest monkey in the jungle’? I mean. What.” They included a picture from H&M that features a black child wearing a sweatshirt that reads, “Coolest Monkey in the Jungle.” The post (shown below) recevied mor tahn 19,000 retweets and 24,000 likes in 24 hours.

So this is the woman who's outraged tweet sparked the shitstorm that ultimately wasted millions of dollars and hurt the lower-class Africans the SJW claim they were trying to help.

The rest of the above twitter thread involves her threatening violence and claiming that "racists" on twitter had began to dogpile her. It went from zero to "muh mentions" in no time.

But she also has 126k other tweets to go through, a lot of it mundane, but some of it really gives you an insight into here thought process and beliefs.

I still cannot believe the total lack of respect for that boy's mother. Don't they realise the trouble they've caused the family? They've turned it into some stupid crusade.

BoPo!

“Body positivity is/was a movement that was created to celebrate bodies that were seen as outside of what is conventionally attractive. More specifically: fat bodies… Body positivity is NOT about celebrating the diet industry.”

As such, Stephanie reiterated that she prefers to embrace the term “fat positivity” so that we don’t sugarcoat around the fact that these are the types of bodies this whole movement was originally created for.

It’s why we need sites like The Curvy Fashionista or spokespeople like Stephanie. When we create safe spaces and give voice to the voiceless, it is supremely frustrating when the loudest wants to take over THAT space, too.

There's nothing positive about outweighing Shamu.

She's just finally saying what everyone already knows. Body positivity is really just fat acceptance. Being comfortable in a thin or average body is just not acceptable. You have thin privilege and are not allowed to be proud of that or feel comfortable with it. Never mind that there are too many girls who are already thin starving themselves because they feel fat. They don't need body positivity. Brood sows squeezing their barnyard booties into garishly printed leggings while moaning about airline seats being fatphobic need it more.

Can we please reclaim the word curvy for women who are actually curvy and not built like sad bags of cottage cheese?

I did some digging and I think found the article they are citing. One problem, it says from africa not african person. It's the oldest human fossil found outside Africa proving that early humans left africa earlier than thought. It does not say "we wuz the israelites" nor that blacks lived in Israel before the jews (possibly Canaanites before Jews but I'm not too knowledgeable on that). Here's the article itself if anyone wants to offer their opinion on it. Why they never talk about actual black kangz and empires is a mystery to me.

Also I don't think she's even from south africa tbh.
