King even suggested that I JASON could get a film adaptation by Blumhouse.

The best novel idea I never wrote (and probably never will) is I JASON, the first-person narrative of Jason Voohees, and his hellish fate: killed over and over again at Camp Crystal Lake. What a hellish, existential fate! Just thinking about the legal thicket one would have to go through to get permissions makes my head ache. And my heart, that too. But gosh, shouldn't someone tell Jason's side of the story?

Unfortunately, nothing is going to happen with the FRIDAY THE 13TH franchise until the copyright lawsuit between the original film's director / producer Sean S. Cunningham and screenwriter Victor Miller is settled.

I don't think the premise would work so good with Freddy. We already have a pretty good idea of Freddy's thoughts about his experiences since he's a chatty guy.

All questions I don't wanna hear stephen's take on. Although he is one of the last generations that can write a preteen gang rape as a symbolic coming-of-age ceremony without people batting an eye.

That's a lie. The dev's abandoned it because they weren't making enough cash and didn't want to pay to license Uber Jason. Also, the game was horribly balanced and a bug fest.

No, let's not have Jason Blum involved in this if it goes through. Most horror movies from Blum or Blumhouse tends to be bad and are usually cashgrabs by design with cheap production budgets and lame execution.

I don't think the core idea would work in a movie format so well. It would make a good series of novellas or short stories but going from "reading Jason's words" to "hearing a person voicing the part of Jason" seems like a bridge too far.
