Whenever they call for nuance, they're asking people to abandon logic and get lost in a kind of unsolvable complexity where any sensible answer is rejected. This guy seems one step ahead of the curve among lefties; he's realizing that it leads to impossible situations.
Roughly 70% of deaths caused by dog attacks are by pitbulls. Dogs rescued from dogfighting shelters not being adopted or being put down are the rule, not the exception. And to top it all off, I've personally not once heard headlines reading "dog rescued from dogfighting ring kills adoptive owner," but I have read articles reading things such as "woman attacked by own pitbull while having a seizure."
So yes, it is technically the owner's fault, because all pitbull owners possess the same fatal flaw: they don't think pitbulls are innately dangerous.

I've met plenty of "pitbull mommies" and their dogs are pretty adorable (though I wouldn't risk annoying them). But it might be some mutt that is similar to the breed yet not as homicidal.

Nah, because when we do, we use our brains.
I think it's less a "homeschool" thing and more an adult thing. Both homeschooling and regular schooling can have impact on the kid based on the teacher.
