No they've got the newspeak correct. A transwoman would have male sex and female gender, thus a transwoman and a ciswoman have the same gender. He's saying (falsely) that superstraight people said transwomen and ciswoman were a different gender, when superstraights were probably saying whatever would pisd them off, but when the point was made seriously that they were attracted to cis women (or men for superstraight women).
