You were specifically talking about how to deal with sin. Do you remember one of the key issues the split happened over? Confessions / indulgances? That was a way of dealing with sin you know.

There's also the jewish tradition of transferring that sin to a chicken and slaughtering it. Basicly the same as buddhism, I'm sure.
